This machine replaces my Breville Dual Boiler as my primary home espresso machine. I wanted to upgrade to a more mechanical, yet still technically adept device. The Pro 500 with PID & flow control fits that bill perfectly. Wood accents make it even more aesthetically pleasing on top of the brilliant chrome finish. Pulling shots with the bottomless portafilter and an IMS Big Bang basket is a breeze. Minor adjustments to grind size and flow setting have resulted in shots better and more consistent than the Breville. The purchase experience from WLL was simple and easy. Good post sales support and access to their YouTube videos makes it super easy to learn. Overall outstanding combination.

I bought this before Christmas and didn't use the water hardness test strip correctly. I contacted Whole Latte Love via chat with a question, and I had a response within 15 minutes. GREAT service so far, and I see that I can sign up so I can review videos about the product.

This is one sweet grinder. I wanted to upgrade my 5 yr old specialita so I began scoping this one out. Overall thoughts: Aesthetically pleasing for sure, this is a beauty. I will dare to say these have been some of the tastiest shots I have enjoyed out of my lelit, clear bright and full of flavor, absolutely specialty coffee shop taste. The grounds are so beautiful and fluffy, and I love the small light feature, I wish more grinders had this. And the GBW is pretty sweet when loaded with coffee. All this being said, I am more of a single dose enthusiast, chasing flavor profiles, trying at least 2 different origins in my morning routine. I thought I would be able to use this like my specialita but it’s a little more on the complicated than that. The continuous grind setting is a bit finicky and I don’t think the machine likes using that feature. It seems to throw the scale off when you select that setting - placing the pora-filter in, then out, in again, so it registers then it will go. Sometimes you had to tap the button on the screen to start other times it would start automatically. ? Again, this is a GBW grinder, more so made for a coffee shop, being dialed and loaded with a pound or two for the day. However if you are the type of person that throws 12 oz or a lb. in the hopper for the week this can work for you too, maybe? Personally, It was just too much grinder for the home. But I enjoyed it while I had it as I ended up returning it. Now back to grinding on the specialita with new burrs - good but not 65mm good!

I roast at home (Aillio Bullet). I had a gift card from WLL, and I figured I would give this espresso blend a shot (hahaha). I was pleasantly surprised. Great flavor, luscious crema.
