I love everything about this with one exception. It is near impossible to get the seat to stay up on its own. 99% of the time it falls, and you have to hold it, which is inexcusable. If you have no men in your home, then this item is perfect for you. If you do, then they better be prepared to hang on to that toilet seat in the 'up' position or they'll be cleaning up a mess every time.

So happy the replacement pieces are metal. They fit perfect and I am confident the seat will stay in place now. Honestly I’m not sure why they don’t come with the toilet seat in the first place, especially when you spend so much money. The cheap plastic ones that came with the toilet broke in a couple of months. Shipping was very fast.
