Great - shipping was a bit of a mess but that was FedEx's problem, not yours. And it still arrived "on time"! Customer support has been beyond stellar this whole time. I'll absolutely be recommending them to friends and family.

what a slip cover

Easy to order. Shipped after a month and well packaged. No big issues with unpacking- concerned briefly the fabric got damaged but it was just a marking within the velvet. Not too bad getting together- you definitely need 2 ppl.

Shipping process was easy, during the time frame expected, and I loved that the shipping materials were all plastic free. Set up was easy and the couch is great.

Ultimately I am mostly content with my purchase but would likely not buy anything else from Sabai, nor recommend it to others. For the $2000-3000 price range I feel that there are better options out there that are already assembled, have better customer service/customer experience, better delivery options, and equal or better quality. Some Issues I had with Sabai: 1) Quality and Assembly - While I deeply appreciate the sustainable practices and materials, the couch did have some quality issues that were noticeable while assembling the couch. Examples - staples and metal pieces exposed on the interior of the couch, misaligned holes for screws and a hole that completely stripped the screw. At the $2500 price point, I would expect not see these quality issues. I would also expect to see white glove delivery/assembly options (even if that cost extra) as is consistent with competitor/similar brands. 2) Customer Service and Delivery - I had to wait over 8 weeks to get the couch delivered. Throughout that time I received very little updates except for one very vague “Your couch is coming soon” (Which still took another 2+ weeks). I finally received a notice that the couch was shipped less than 24 hours before its estimated arrival. I would have liked to see more transparency/lead time and ability to schedule the delivery.

love packaging being super minimal, just the actual pieces in each box and not ton of stuffing or other random materials that would just get thrown away.

Great communication about shipping. Product is exactly as described on the website. Assembly for the club chair was less than 45 minutes.

Very satisfied with the couch. Extremely spacious and comfortable. Assembly was fine for the most part. We were not able to attach the metal connector for the ottoman, but it stays in place regardless. Quality control was fine otherwise. Drill holes were placed correctly, brackets assembled cleanly, and all parts were included with no issues. We got it in the poly-oak color and it looks great! No stains, odors or complaints here. For those wondering, the poly material has a burlap like texture. When I say that, I don’t mean that it frizzes up or sheds, but that the material is a bit coarse (which I like), and it gives the impression that it will hold up for a long time. The cushions are very thick and supportive. I feel that the foam will hold its shape longer than most couches. For seat positioning, the couch does sit low with a low back rest. The cushions are also very deep. Sitting upright, the backrest touches my shoulder blades leaving the neck without much support. For reference, I’m 6’0 with a long torso. I actually like this positioning, but it might not be for everyone. I might consider adding some lumbar pillows in the future for added support, but it’s not completely necessary. With the added depth, this couch is amazing for spreading out and laying down. Overall, I’m totally satisfied with the craftsmanship of this couch and I get the feeling that it will service me for a very long time. I highly recommend this couch, especially in oat.
