Very happy with this choice after researching the various options out there. Also bought the Tempest weather station to utilize hyper local weather data. The system has already skipped water sessions due to wind, freezing temperatures, and rain above the set threshold, exactly as intended!

The RACHIO 16 zone controller is hands-down the best controller I’ve ever worked with. From setting it up to using it, it has been absolutely easy. Even if I did not get a $100 rebate from my utilities company, this controller is worth $250. The app is amazing. Simple, simple, simple to use. I am so happy I decided to purchase this controller.

Great brand but wish shipping was a bit faster. Also not a fan of how they have these software add ons for $30 each. They should just raise the retail price for everyone by a bit and include the extra features

Works. well and easy to hook up

Just bought a new Rachio3 from Costco and not able to connect to my dual band wifi. I have many devices on our dual band wifi and Rachio is dead in the water. No customer service after 5pm and even with videos and many diag tools, nothing has worked. Rain Bird was pretty trusty and always worked. The chat session just told me to call back during customer service hours. How can they sell a device that has connectivity to wifi issues like this

I so wanted this rachio product to work. Has lots of potential with the user interface. Their problem is the product is unstable in the hardware to maintain a connection to the Wi-Fi network. All my other smart products have not encountered connection issues. And it has nothing to do with my strength of signal it's super high. I have spent hours and full days troubleshooting working with their technical support and no one can resolve disconnection issues. They've sent me two additional controllers that have very short life spans before they no longer work either. Over 3 years I've been through three controllers. All three heading into landfill what a waste.

I’m waiting on the 3rd replacement smart hose valve, replacing two that failed. I’m now told that the valve is out of stock. I’m a bit concerned about Rachio quality and perhaps even the health of the company given my recent experiences.

Promptly received, very good price, easily set up, saved money on less water usage as it cancels watering cycles if rain or saturated ground. Easy to monitor and change from the app. Highly recommend.
