Rachio Smart Hose Timer is awesome! Since they added the ability to use more than 1 valve at a time it is now the garden star. I use 1 valve as a primary valve at the house and run a 200ft hose to the garden where I have 3 "zone" valves. That way I do not have to run 3 hoses to the garden and I don't need to leave the primary 200ft hose under pressure when it is not in use. I never have a problem with wireless range and they always water on time.

The unit came quickly and the website pointed me to a rebate from my water district. So that was cool. The initial setup was a little convoluted, but we got there in the end.

manufactured issue with original model - 5 years old. Forced to replace with new model - but same model number. There was no reason for replacement, could have been readily resolved if firmware/software was serviceable. very weak.

Too complicated. It doesn’t matter what I program it just randomly waters. The Tempest is almost always wrong. Wish I had my old manual system back. I knew how to make it do what I wanted. No live human help ever available. Oh, well

Smart hose timer worked for a while then started leaking. I replaced the washer, but the leak was internal and water infiltrated the battery compartment.

I like it a lot

Replacement controller arrived quickly and was easily installed. Connecting to my iPhone makes controlling sprinkler system very easy.

Got it in a couple of days.
