We recently visited NZ Bed Co. at Wairau Park to look for a bedhead. We had visited 4 other stores and couldn't find what we wanted. Emily was very welcoming and helpful. We found the bedhead we liked but wanted some changes made. Emily took our order and assured us they could have it made exactly as we requested. Our bedhead arrived on the day we were told it would. It was well wrapped and ready for cartage. We are absolutely delighted with the bedhead. The colour is superb and style is perfect for our bed. The quality is very good and made installation to the bed an easy process. We will recommend NZ Bed Company (especially Wairau Park) to friends and family for the professional service and option of stock.

Just bought a beautiful king size bed from BedsRus Ravenswood' From the moment My husband and I walked into the store we were totally looked after and guided through the different options available. We were presented with a very good package deal which included a very nice headboard free delivery and deposing of our old bed. Looking to replace my bed I ventured into the NZ Bed Company in Warkworth. The sales manager was very welcoming asking what type of bed and price range I was thinking of then proceeded to show me a number of beds to try out by lying down on them. He spent some time with me as I was the only customer in the store at that time. He was extremely pleasant and helpful and I appreciated his congeniality. I was wanting a King Double size bed but unfortunately the NZ Bed Company don’t make them so I had to go for a Queen size bed. However, buying a new bed is not necessarily as simple as it sounds. You go into a shop and there is a whole array of different beds. You are invited to lie down on one, then another followed by more. It can get a little confusing as you pretty much just lie on your back on each one for a few seconds. It’s a bit different than lying down to go to sleep tucked up in sheets etc. Then there’s the varying cost as well as your own budget not to mention the level of softness, medium or firm mattress styles - and they are all seemingly different depending on their brand name. Anyway, after trying out this bed then that one and the other one several times I made a choice and purchased the Classic Soft Set Queen bed. When it got delivered I tried my first night’s sleep on it only to find it to be very hard, like lying on a plank of wood even though I had placed a wool mattress topper and mattress protector on it. It didn’t seem to have the softer feeling I had on lying on the store model. I went back to the store and the manager said it can take 2-3 weeks to break it in and encouraged me to give it time. I am 74 years old and my bones aren’t as giving as they once were and I told him that I wouldn’t be able to sleep on it without incurring considerable discomfort and pain. I tried out the shop model again and thought it to be softer so we agreed that I swop the one I purchased for the store one. My old bed is a Sleepyhead Chiropractic Elite Sleeper Soft ...

We had a very disappointing experience with NZ Bed, Moorhouse branch. On 12th October, we ordered a stocked bed set and made a partial payment of around $2,300. Due to an unexpected financial issue, we returned to the store on 14th October (just two days later) to cancel the order.  Shivanthi, a store staff member on duty at that time, kindly agreed to the cancellation, confirmed that no shipping or special arrangements had been made, and said the refund would be processed within 5 working days. She also took our account details for the refund. However, the following day, we received an email from Jimmy (the salesperson) repeatedly asking for the reason for cancellation, even though we had already explained it clearly to Shivanthi — it was due to a financial issue. Later, Ruhi, another store representative, emailed to say we would need to pay 20% of the cost, claiming it was a “change of mind. ”This was both unfair and unreasonable, as the product was in stock, and no delivery, freight, or custom order was involved. Even if it were considered a change of mind, charging 20% without any actual costs being incurred does not seem justified — especially since the cancellation was clearly due to financial reasons. It’s confusing and disappointing that one staff member confirmed the cancellation and refund without issue, while another later reversed that decision and demanded a 20% deduction. Such inconsistency within the same store shows a clear lack of communication and professionalism. Throughout this process, the staff requested that all communication be done by email, which made the process slower and more frustrating. The entire refund process took around a month, and we only received confirmation of the refund after mentioning that we would contact NZ Consumer Affairs. Ruhi’s email indicated they would process the payment only as an exception in this matter. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing. I purchased a bed from the Moorehouse Store and received friendly and excellent service and a great price. The bed will be perfect for my parent's bach. The only issue is that I have been trying to ring to change my delivery time and it is impossible to get through - very frustrating!
