Having a Luxe bidet has been a total game changer!
First of all, the installation was a breeze! No problems at all. And because I have some semi-serious gastro issues that cause my BMs to be quite messy most of the time, I have been using wipes rather than toilet tissue for a couple of years now and was relieved to finally make that change. But having a bidet is even 1000% better! Not only do I not have to change the bag in my wastebasket every day anymore, but I get and feel SO much cleaner afterward. And I even enjoy the tingle of the water spraying on my sensitive area when I use it.
I also purchased a water filter not long after purchasing my bidet which took less than five minutes to add between the hoses. But, when I thought about why I would need filtered water to clean after using the toilet when I use the same tap water on the same area AND the rest of my body when I shower, I sent an email to Luxe's amazing CSR, Theo, with whom I had already corresponded several times, and he explained that the filter wasn't so much for my benefit as it was for that of the bidet, due to possible mineral build-up and clogging in case my home had hard water. Well, I soon determined that I don't, so I won't be purchasing additional filters in the future. But having the information that Theo gave me was extremely helpful in not only alleviating my puzzlement over the need for a filter, but also saving me the cost of additional filters that I won't be needing. You know you're dealing with a reputable and ethical company when their representatives inform you that you don't need to put money in their pockets to purchase an item from them that you don't need.
But the bidet itself has been a game changer. Now, I almost look forward to using the toilet, regardless of the usual outcome, knowing that when I'm done, the bidet will be a little treat to clean me up afterward. I only wish I had had one all my life rather than only now in my twilight years. I truly love having it.
