The service worked well, I was pleased, but then I got dozens of constant emails trying to upsell me, and the actual production took many weeks. I was somewhat in the dark on when I may receive my dvds and then came in another very large box, which was way overkill and added to the landfill and an unnecessary expense
Couldn’t use all I provided due to formatting issue, but failed to label the ones that were not done
Disappointed that the price isn’t adjusted to what was actually recovered. A few short clips no sound.
The original purchase was easy (5 stars). It would have been nice to track he progress of my order because it took quite a long time (Not a star deduction, but something that was annoying-- especially because Kodak was already spamming me to buy more crap). The star deduction was because I sent in several bundles, and when items were returned, multiple bundles had stickers on them that said "A portion of this bundle could not be digitized. " Well. . ok. . which photo? I sent like 200. So now I have to go through photos one by one to see if it was scanned. I don't have time for that. Additionally, I still paid for the service, so it feels like a should have been refunded a portion.
The Kodak name doesn't mean what it used to.
no reason why they returned items sent in to be digitized just a sticker that said unable to digitize. even on there own product film. . also no credit for the work they didn't do.
I cant seem to share the video's with family? Keeps saying too long. Only facebook can accept. Gmail not allowing it?
Took forever and the download links are clunky. I don't love this.
I would stop using USPS their service stinks.
I had 5 files that came back unclear. I sent in VHS tapes to be converted to flash drives and C/D's. These tapes play clear on my VHS machine, but the conversion on flash drive files were unuseable. Wish I could try these conversions again.
Kodak digitized three very old VHS tapes and did a good job. Only complaint is that the service is very slow.
The process was easy. The quality of my videos wasn’t so great, but maybe my tapes were damaged.
This process has been a journey. When I spoke to the agent I signed up for 20 tape conversions. When I received my shipping container there were only 10 tracking stickers for the price she quoted me. The other 10 tracking stickers were at a higher price. Today I received another bill to pay to complete the conversion. At this point I’m stuck paying because you have my tapes. If I had known this new price, I would not have used Kodak
The process was very efficient. I liked how I got a personalized guide to how to pack and send my tapes, and the individual stickers with the bar codes. I also got the digitized products back in a reasonable time. The quality of one of the digitizations was poor, with the sound corrupted. Yet there was nothing visibly wrong with the tape, which had been protected in the same way over the years as all the other tapes. The overall quality of the video was poorer than I anticipated and unlike what appears when I play the miniDV tapes via the HDMI cable on my TV.
I ordered a DVD and all I got was an emailed download.
Haven't watched all the disc's yet, but there is a slight blur quite often . Brief, but there.
Price seems a bit high. The flood of constant marketing emails is annoying as all hell. Did not get notified that my files were ready for download. As such, I haven’t viewed any yet and can’t speak to the quality of the conversion.
It’s easy to put in an order, and the price offered is very competitive. I just wished that there is an option for the actual number of items to be ordered versus a preset amount. Love Kodak products and I am glad they offer these services.
Easy to order!
I still haven't received my box.
