I would stop using USPS their service stinks.
I never received an email stating my box had been received. It was a panic moment. I had to track it myself with the UPS receipt and then confirm via an email.
No option to submit 6x items in one box. Most economical option was to order 3 boxes for x 2 items each. But the boxes were big enough for 10-20 items. Ended up shipping a lot of air back and forth to Kentucky.
Very upset I have to wait 10 weeks
I had 5 files that came back unclear. I sent in VHS tapes to be converted to flash drives and C/D's. These tapes play clear on my VHS machine, but the conversion on flash drive files were unuseable. Wish I could try these conversions again.
Kodak digitized three very old VHS tapes and did a good job. Only complaint is that the service is very slow.
bad
The process was easy. The quality of my videos wasn’t so great, but maybe my tapes were damaged.
Sent 20 items, read the instructions to avoid sending ineligible items, yet 1/3 of the reels were not digitized. No explanation for why. It also appeared to me that the films weren't cleaned before digitization.
This process has been a journey. When I spoke to the agent I signed up for 20 tape conversions. When I received my shipping container there were only 10 tracking stickers for the price she quoted me. The other 10 tracking stickers were at a higher price. Today I received another bill to pay to complete the conversion. At this point I’m stuck paying because you have my tapes. If I had known this new price, I would not have used Kodak
I am somewhat disappointed in the quality of the scans, especially the ones made from slides. I expected higher quality images.
It’s difficult to know what shape the tapes I sent were in but the quality of what I got back wasn’t great. I was hoping for better. Some videos came back in black and white (originals in color) while others were very clear.
The process was very efficient. I liked how I got a personalized guide to how to pack and send my tapes, and the individual stickers with the bar codes. I also got the digitized products back in a reasonable time. The quality of one of the digitizations was poor, with the sound corrupted. Yet there was nothing visibly wrong with the tape, which had been protected in the same way over the years as all the other tapes. The overall quality of the video was poorer than I anticipated and unlike what appears when I play the miniDV tapes via the HDMI cable on my TV.
I ordered a DVD and all I got was an emailed download.
Haven't watched all the disc's yet, but there is a slight blur quite often . Brief, but there.
Price seems a bit high. The flood of constant marketing emails is annoying as all hell. Did not get notified that my files were ready for download. As such, I haven’t viewed any yet and can’t speak to the quality of the conversion.
It’s easy to put in an order, and the price offered is very competitive. I just wished that there is an option for the actual number of items to be ordered versus a preset amount. Love Kodak products and I am glad they offer these services.
Easy to order!
I still haven't received my box.
Very happy with this service
