I recently bought my first Japanese knife, for my girlfriend. The Tojiro Basic Santoku is awesome, affordable and it cuts like a razor! Excellent customer care too, I talked with Naomi a bit, she was helpful and dedicated. I truly recommend their knives and the store. Great experience!

Best knife place in town - the experts !

The first time I went to this store on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta, was in May of this year. Now I know what I've been missing. The products are excellent and the staff equally so. I thought I understood knives and how to hone/sharpen them. Apparently not. The staff person took the time to help me pick the right knife for me, and then to tell me about it and how to care for it. I won't be sharpening my knife myself because I want it done properly which I now understand I'm not able to do. I also am the owner of a new ceramic honing rod. Who knew that is what you need rather than a steel rod. I will return to this store and I'll bring friends.
