Great service!

Two of my knives, which I bought at Knifewear, needed sharpening and chip repairs. I brought my knives to the Edmonton store, and I was greeted right away. I received a call the next day, and they were ready. It was my first sharpening!!

An absolutely beautiful knife and ridiculously sharp. I love cooking all over again. I'm using Japanese hinoki end grain cutting board so my kitchen also smells amazing.

Love the store ! Worth the drive .

We are from Toronto and were visiting Vancouver, when we decided to buy a good quality knife from Knifewear. However, the product we wanted was only available in Ottawa. The staff was very helpful and nice to interact with. We ended up placing the order online and the knife cam pretty quickly (even before we reached home haha)

I’ve only recently begun using Japanese knives. When I first went to Knifewear to get a different knife sharpened I walked around the shop, and asked if I were to get a single knife to start which would it be. The employee said this one. It feels nice and solid. I’ve found I prefer more rustic and larger solid wa handles over anything round or western and light weight. The blade is fairly sharp and a tad on the thicker side but that’s also what I’ve found I prefer. At this point I now have another 2 Fujimotos of the same line, the Gyuto and petty. Both also great. I have a Nakiri and bunka from different lines to get some more variety. Anyway, once you start, you get hooked. This is a good place to start. Likely will have this forever.

We used our new HORL 3 for the first time yesterday. We are impressed with how solid the construction of it is! The instructions were clear and concise; the HORL 3 is easy to use. One criticism: there was no prior mention of using a leather afterward. We couldn’t finish the job.

Best customer service i have experienced in recent memory. I was never pressured, the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. I learned so much about all things cooking and really loved looking around the store. Great people, great service, great experience. I will be shopping here again.
