I ordered 4 different variaties of strawberry plants in August. I like that they don't ship until it is the right time to plant. I received two of the four varieties I ordered in September. I planted them the same day. The plants looked in good condition and healthy. Unfortunately, they were out of the other two varieties. I wish they would have stated that possiblitiy in August when I placed my order. You assume that if they took my order that it would put a hold on some plants to be shipped when expected. I kinda feel that they took other orders after mine and filled them and not mine. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I am very happy with the ones I did get and I'm looking forward to seeing them take off next spring.

Got the new Sakura strawberry. Shipping was horrible. I could tell they slid up and down the box because all the stems are broken. 3/4 already dead. Last one may end up dying 😞 Is it too hard to put a stick or two in the dirt to stabilize?

I received my garlic and onions. Am very happy with my order. Only had one spoiled shallot.

I got quality plants that were delivered at the right time for planting. Well packaged and healthy.

As Gurney's does not ship to Hawaii, I had to ship the items to my sister in Missouri who will give me the packet of seeds (Easy Sauce tomatoes) this week when I see her. She's getting a pack of the tomato seeds too (they have a greenhouse business so she's excited to try them). I also sent her iris bulbs to add to her collection of irises in her personal garden.

Beautiful thick walls and delicious peppers. I try to start early and ripen same as tomatoes. Temps fluctuate in my basement seed room that early on. Not many other brands germinated when ambient temp dropped below 74° even for short time. Thankfully Gurney's tray were slow. . . . but I had outstanding termination rate. . Nice big blocky fruit that stands up on their own for stuffing. Recommended highly.

My Juliet Cherry bush arrived in good condition. I planted it 2 weeks ago and the leaves are nice and green still.

I am very disappointed with the quality of plants and the service of Gurneys. I ordered several items from Gurneys in early August. I received one of the items that I ordered within 2 weeks, an Iris. It came all brown and dried up with no green on it. I have watered and cared for it, but it doesn't appear to have lived. I also ordered strawberries, garlic and a berry bush. I received notification that these items would arrive by September 14th. At the end of September, I called Gurneys regarding this order. The items had still not been processed or shipped. I explained that living in a 4B zone I was very concerned that there would not be enough time for the plants and bush to root in and no longer wanted them. I was first told that it may not be possible to cancel the order, but eventually I was told that the strawberries and berry bush order would be canceled. The garlic has arrived and I will be planting it soon.

I ordered 2 fignominal figs, they arrived last Sat, one was beautiful the other was completely dried out, seems it was not watered well before shipping. The plant is hanging on with only 1 leaf.

Even late planting last fall they came out big with large cloves. Easy to braid and robust harvest . every one made a large clove.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that you had a lot of hard neck garlic. I was only able to plant this fall. I have more varieties than before. I'll let you know how they grow next spring

I absolutely love the Gurney's site. The descriptions are spot on and the pictures accurately represent the plants.

Horrible customer service!. I ordered 2 orders of hardneck garlic 3 bulbs each and 2 orders of elephant garlic. I was charged $32 for each order. CS argued that I only ordered 1 of each. Multiple emails back and forth, they refuse to refund me or send the rest of my order I received only 4 bulbs total. CS

Green Step Caterpillar spray is one of my favorites to use in the garden. . It is effective and safe. Recently purchased a container at Gurneys for a great price. On to next year's gardening.

Garlic is good to plant

My asparagus plants arrived in great condition. Well packaged. They ate in the ground, fed, and ready for winter, so I won't know how well they grow until spring. Customer service is absolutely great

This was the first time ordering from Gurneys. I originally ordered the KangaRhu Rhubarb, I was notified of the delivery,I was very disappointed with FedEx-the plant arrived frozen ad definitely dead,I was able to reorder it and FedEx literally shook it to death,the plant was not securely fixed inside the box ad it was literally a bare root plant when I received it. I was given a credit to use on a future purchase. I then ordered a Hardy Tarty Rhubarb, I just recently received it, I was not notified of it's delivery,I received several days before I left for a week's vacation, it would have sat on my front porch. Anyhow when I received my new plant I was disappointed it's appearance 😔, I was shocked to see so many yellow leaves. I have notified your customer service and was assured that they will honor Gurneys guarantee. It was baby sat with my friend while I was away and I am back from my vacation and the plant will be planted tomorrow and I will definitely be keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
