Gurney’s seeds are good but so have those I’ve ordered from other companies. The shipping cost is absurd for an unnecessarily HUGE plastic bag. Shipping costs takes you out of the game.
quality products, fair prices, and fast service.
Can always find the seeds and or plants we need.
I have bought my seeds and plants for 30+ yrs. I've tried others and found the germination rate is much higher than other nurseries. Back in the OLD Days they even sent a bare root or bulbs. . I miss those day, JUST SAYIN!
Prompt and informative
I was surprised at how long it took to be shipped here and with the crazy weather, it would have been nice to have specific instructions for the specific plants ordered.
Seeds shipped quickly. Looking forward to getting them into the ground!
Gurney's has been excellent to me, not sure if I'll buy more seeds for spring, Still have seeds from last year. I would highly recommend Gurney's! A+A+A+
Ordered double hollyhocks, the package had no planting instructions, was hard to determine which was top, each plant was 7 to 8 inches, it actually looked like just roots. Did not know if I was suppose to bury entirely or guess which was top and leave it above ground. So have no idea if any will survive…. .
At first most of the plants that I received were healthy but died shortly after planting them a couple like the Munstead English Lavender and, the Crimson Beauty Carpet Phlox both looked dead or almost dead. I planted both of them but so far the still look the same. I recently added Alive! TM Soil Activator and Garden Plenty to my soil while planting my Blue Jean Baby Russian Sage, Alaska Shasta Daisy, and my Heliopsis Sunstruck all arrive in great shape only the Daisy is not doing to well, but hopefully it will take off later.
Was ordering different seeds far our tub gardens. . . The shipping was pretty fast. . . We live in the Pacific N. W, ; so planting season starts in 5-2026. . . We'll see how the seeds do next year. . . Had a lot of problems with store package seeds in 2025 from a verity of different suppliers. . . So, we'll see how Gurney's seeds do. . . I have used Gurney's in the past and had good luck. . .
Pretty good shopping experience. I love Gurney's plants and seeds. They grow as they're meant to! I Like their expert advice, too. I didn't much care for not getting the free shipping on my order (which was a purchase of over $200!), but I understand; you've got expenses too. Anyway, I'm pretty well sold on Gurneys, and will continue to shop with you for my garden products. PS I was a little put out that I couldn't purchase any of your "Alive" fertilizers. Last year I know I bought several, but this time I was told they can't be shipped to Pennsylvania. Funny that I've lived in Pennsylvania for decades, and this issue never before came up.
The box with air holes arrived within a week. The seeds and bulbs were securely packaged.
The quality of all the different types of plants/bulbs have been outstanding! The customer service was easy to access and responsive. It’s my first go to.
Gurneys products are delivered on time and of high quality. They are detailed about the shopping process and shipping and provide great information about planting and selection criterion.
I placed two orders on October 9th and received notices that both had been shipped. It's now November 14th and I haven't received anything. Tracking for both orders is unavailable.
Plants arrived bare root and looked a little worst for wear. Three of the plants survived and one, Maximillan Sunflower didn't sprout as of this date and is presumed dead on arrival.
Very good Company. Great selections. Good product.
nice looking bare roots. one extra! we shall see
Beautiful huge flowers. Did not have any problems growing. Was flowering first season. Highly recommend.
