I decided to treat myself to a Flair Classic (2025) version this Christmas, much to my wife's tepid approval (She's not a coffee drinker). I was skeptical of what I would get out of the machine, but paired with a relatively cheap hand-grinder (I own a KinGrinder K2)- I was able to consistently pull great shots of espresso that would rival my regular Cafe that carries a La Marzacco machine. Of course, there's a lot of work involved in dialing in, preheat, etc. , but once you are past the initial learning curve, you can consistently get great shots. Shipping was OK. Not too fast, not too slow. Flair's community posts and videos are pretty useful. Some minor complaints: 1. The stock dispersion screen gets too many grounds stuck inside of it. I recommend a toothbrush to clean or just getting a different dispersion screen. 2. The no-preheat brew-head definitely needs preheating for anything that is not a super dark roast. The claim is clearly oversold. 3. The pressure gauge leaves a lot to be desired. I think Flair should have kept this pressure gauge for Neo Flex, and should have given the bigger gauge with the classic (or at least provide the option at purchase for ~$10 or something). Some tips: 1. Use a water spritzer and a WDT tool. This produces a deeper puck, and can definitely benefit from better distribution/lower static. 2. Use your selfie phone camera as a shot mirror by slanting it against something sturdy. 3. Remove the bottom of the Red-pressurized portafilter to get a "second" almost bottomless portafilter, which you can use to pull two shots back to back. My wife who hates the taste of coffee, gave this system a thumbs up by saying "It's not bitter!". I consider this a Dub.
Good!
Pretty nifty, great for a beginner
Originally purchased the Flair Pro 3 but wasn’t super impressed with the build quality. This feels completely different, and is certainly an upgrade. Super easy to use once you get the hang of it. Portable enough to allow me to brew espresso in the campsite as well.
Great!
thumbs up
Flair Espresso has great products and I think my espresso game has been elevated because of it! Very happy with the purchasing experience, quality packaging (protecting products). Would highly recommend!
From the start the staff and their communication with me was Paramount and me making my decision whether to purchase this product or not. In the past I have fallen for very bad companies like meticulous, Zerno & Flair have restored my faith in the coffee community both have incredibly dialed in customer service !
Shipping was faster than expected.
Everything was straight forward and easy. Machine was great!
Great little manual espresso maker
This is real steamer with real boiler but controlling heat is little challenging especially for beginners, you will have to find out how it behaves with high heat/mid heat, fire vs induction
Thanks for great espresso equipment.
great
The Wizard performed really well. It does have a learning curve to get used to it, but I found it to be as powerful as some commercial machines. Great Build Quality and the steam wand get a little warm but nothing that will actually make you uncomfortable I find myself holding it for more control over the vortex in my milk. IF you want a great steamer that will last this is it!
love the products never skip on quality
Timely, response
Loving the flexibility of making different kinds of shots
Awesome
Overall experience was excellent! There was a shipping hiccup, but customer support was on it and it helps that the Flair 58+2 is a phenomenal product!
