I’ve been using the Flair Preheat Funnel for a few months now and it has made brewing so much easier, quicker, and cleaner. Before this, I was putting water directly into the brewing cylinder, but I had a hard time finding something airtight enough that didn’t require using a lot of water. I eventually settled on submerging the brew cylinder in a cup, but that wasted water and made cleanup more annoying. The preheat funnel solved all of that. It heats the cylinder just as well, if not better, in much less time. It is convenient, doesn't waste any water, and removes the extra cleanup I had to deal with before. Honestly, I haven’t found any drawbacks so far. It’s a simple accessory, but it made my workflow much better.

Hands down Flair 58 plus 2 is the best manual lever machine in today's market. Even better and lot more practical than my Flair Pro 3 which I purchased last year. That system requires extra steps to take to complete the process but still pulls great shots. With Flair 58 plus 2, you can seamlessly pull a flavorful, rich shots with nice silky thicker texture and crema every single time. Considering the freshness of the specialty coffee, correct water temperature and its quality, proper grind size, distribution, proper tamping force, heating the body of the chamber and portafilter in advance, and preferrably heated mug or glass, and of course operator's experience. Anyone and all coffee enthusiasts and home baristas could pull an amazing shots with this manual lever machine, since you will be in full control from the start to finish. Unlike the semi-automatic or full automated espresso machines in the market. I absolutely and strongly recommending this machine to all that are looking for quality manual lever machine and love to learn and pull amazing shots all around every single time and be praised by family members and friends once they taste it. The Flair 49 Pro is an ok machine, which could be improved on a variety of fronts. The upper section wiggles on the base every time the portafilter gets put on or taken off because of poor manufacturing tolerances. The dosing funnel is useless for anyone who does even rudimentary puck-preparation. The filter basket has an unconventional flat-stamped rim, which prevents the use of higher-quality baskets (e. g. from IMS) without modifying the machine. As with other Flairs, the puck screen is ineffective, useful only as a paperweight for the handcut aeropress filter you place below. One thing Flair did do nicely is the tamper, which fits the filter basket tightly and allows the user to easily get even tamping pressure around the whole puck. With care and some mods, the espresso this puts out can be quite good. But this is definitely not a 'Pro' machine out-of-the-box.
