One other aspect I was not feeling really comfortable with with was that the address given to me on the hotline for French website that sells the products was wrong: it existed but they don't sell spare parts. I would prefer if Dualit offers his products and spout parts through his own European website. The customs charged me in the end "on top" the same prize as I've been paying for the spare parts. . .
