A keep warm option would be nice. The caraffee keeps the coffee warm, but not really hot after some time (for a single coffee drinker). The pouring lid could also use some more user friendly improvements- the flipper is not up to par with the rest of the unit. Overall, this is a great coffee maker!!!! As an English teacher, the manual should be proofread and edited for errors.

I received the wrong item. I reached out to Bonavita support the day I received the incorrect item and haven't heard back in 4 days. 1 star because I can't leave 0 stars.

I recently purchased and today received a new Bonavita Enthusiast 8-Cup Coffee Brewer with the stainless-steel thermal carafe. Before using it for coffee, I washed and thoroughly rinsed all the removable parts and then began running plain water through the brewer. The instructions recommend running at least two full water-only brew cycles before use. I have now completed approximately seven full brew cycles, but after every cycle there is still a thin, oily-looking film floating on the surface of the collected hot water. I have not brewed any coffee in the machine because I am uncomfortable drinking from it while this unexplained residue continues to appear. I have tried to isolate the source as follows: - Every brew cycle has used filtered water from a new Frigidaire refrigerator. - I put hot water from the faucet into the removable reservoir and observed no film. I did tge same with the filter basket but still no film. - I placed the filtered water directly into the black filter basket, where a surface film would be relatively easy to see, and observed no film. - I filled the thermal carafe directly with hot tap water and observed no film. - I initially washed the removable parts with a small amount of dish detergent and rinsed them thoroughly. - I have repeatedly rinsed the filter basket and carafe with hot water after each cycle. - The oily-looking film appears only after the water has passed through the brewer’s heated internal water process. After approximately seven complete flushing cycles, I do not believe this should still be occurring in a new coffee brewer. I sent this in with a proto and pdf or my purchase receipt, asking to please advise whether this is a known issue and what the residue could be. Unless there is a clear and documented explanation showing that this is normal and safe, I would like either a replacement unit or a refund. So far, I bhave had no reply, so what I was looking forward to has become a great disappointment. Steve Young

Disappointed. Replaced my 10-year-old Bonavita that I loved, which had a switch failure. Components for this model feels more cheaply made. Husband compared to a Mr. Coffee maker.

Design I love the aesthetics of this Bonavita Enthusiast coffee maker. Its clean lines, brushed stainless-steel finish, and compact footprint fit beautifully in our small kitchen without taking up valuable counter space. The word that comes to mind is simplicity. There are four buttons, and each one has a clear function: on/off, brew, bloom, and descale. Performance This coffee maker is clearly focused on flavor and taste rather than extra bells and whistles. The brew setting seems to use the hottest water when making the coffee, and it also keeps the coffee warm longer. The bloom setting also brews the coffee, but it does not seem to get quite as hot or stay warm as long. However, it does make the coffee less acidic and brings out smoother, more nuanced flavors. The coffee consistently comes out rich and well-balanced. Build Quality The quality of the materials is exceptional, and the machine feels sturdy and well-built every time we use it. We especially like that the reservoir is easy to clean, making routine maintenance quick and hassle-free. One improvement we would like to see is more visible button labels. The indicators are too faint and can be difficult to read, especially in lower light. Verdict I am rating this coffee maker 5 stars because it excels at the things that matter most: brewing consistently delicious coffee, using high-quality materials, and offering an attractive, thoughtfully designed package. While the button labels could be easier to see, that minor issue is far outweighed by the excellent flavor, reliable performance, ease of cleaning, and elegant design. Overall, it has exceeded our expectations and has been a pleasure to use every day.

A replacement for the same model kettle that recently expired after many years of faithful duty. Works perfectly in my coffee routine. Looking forward to many more years of daily use.

This is my second purchase coffee machine from your company. The only complaint I have is that after I add milk into my coffee cup the coffee is not very hot and I have to microwave the cup. It does brew excellent coffee though.
