Overall quality of the item I received are subpar. The case is beautiful, the violin workmanship is OK, the bow is just BAD. Hair on the bow keeps breaking and would NOT straighten even after tightening. I would NOT purchase from Southwest String again and would NOT recommend online shopping here

My daughter moved in to a full size violin and after receiving a recommendation to purchase this violin it made a huge amount of sense to do so. We're very pleased!

I love the sound quality of the pirazzi gold viola strings! Although they sound great, my D string sometimes breaks near the peg box when I tune it which is very odd. I’m not sure if I just keep getting faulty d strings or maybe there is a problem with my pegs that cause the string to lose tension and break easier. I usually have to buy another D string sometimes only 3 weeks after applying a new one, but it might be a problem on my instrument’s end. Other than that, I love using southwest strings to order strings!
