We had a fantastic time in Cambodia. Everything from our travel, lodging, guide, and excursions were well planned and went smoothly. We learned a lot and had so much fun!

The temples were incredible, our hotel was pristine, and our tour guide, Borin, was excellent!

Global Basecamps and our contact, Valentina, skillfully and with such care, provided us with an adventure in Peru that was spectacular; every moment and aspect had great value to us. Our knowledgeable, academic, passionate and very enjoyable guides connected us with the lush, astounding complexities of the Amazon jungle, the sobering, monumental glories of the Inca empire and the quixotic aspects of the Lake Titicaca cultures. Every evening we were treated to wonderful accommodations which continued to enlighten and mirror the historical and cultural aspects of each region. Hotel staff were consistently very, very enjoyable to interact with. The excellent hotel locations were amendable to exploring, shopping and dining. Each transition was effortless and communication was readily available for the couple minor changes to our itinerary we requested before and during our trip. Peru is an amazing place, and with the guidance of Valentina we were able to get lost in every day and conclude our adventure with hearts clouded with longing for more adventures like the ones we had just immersed ourselves in. Thank you Global Basecamps - you are in our diary forever!

This was an experience of a lifetime. Our guide and porters were incredible. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food they cooked was delicious. Everything was top notch from start to finish. I can't even think of anything they could improve on.

A few days in Bangkok, six days in Chang Mai. Beautiful hotels, perfect central locations. Amazing experiences -- street food in Chinatown, boating Bangkok's canals, informative tours, zip-lining, elephants, a two day hike, elephants, a Thai cooking class, did we mention the elephants? All perfectly tailored to our interests, activity level (active, but not TOO much), and style (not too fancy). All with guides when we wanted them, with plenty of time on our own. An amazing experience in a beautiful part of the world.

Global Basecamps were the best in scheduling and providing the info that we needed to have a wonderful time in New Zealand and Australia. I am one to not go out on a limb on vacations. I was a little nervous about all the various pickups and luggage transfers. That said, we had a perfect trip to Peru. We never waited one minute for our guide. Our hotels were very comfortable and included certain meals and incredibly views. Our airport pickups were always time. The natural beauty of Peru can’t be overlooked. We had a fantastic journey!

Global Basecamps helped make our trip perfect. Every detail was taken care of for us. Nothing went wrong because of their attention to detail. Our guide on our Inca trek was a man named Lobo. He had made the trek over 1000 times. When we came to certain parts of the trek, Lobo would tell us how long the climb would be, what to expect, and encouraged us every step of the way. The porters were heaven sent. Our cook was an artist, creating meals in a challenging environment. The team in Cusco made us feel welcomed the moment we got off the flight. I cannot say or thank everyone enough for making this trip so memorable.

Valentina did a fabulous job of working with our group to arrange a stress free and fun filled trip. We had never had someone arrange everything for us, and were a bit nervous. Great communication and prompt answering of any questions soon relieved our stress, and once we started on the trip..... it was perfect! Someone always met us at each destination, our guides and drivers were outstanding and we never worried about ANYTHING! Sadly, one of our group had a medical emergency and needed to come home and Global Base Camps was quickly on top of it. Having our own guides and drivers was so wonderful as we only had our small group of friends to coordinate with, never waiting for others. The guides new the best way to avoids crowds and other tour groups to see our sights in a relaxing and “just our pace” style. They always checked in with us as we went from city to city and made wonderful recommendations. Would definitely refer them for any global trip and look forward to our next adventure!

IT THE BEST TRIP EVER!!! ;-) Honestly, we had such a GREAT time! Every minute of every day was perfect and every person we met was just fantastic!!! We felt truly cared for. All the guides seemed to really like their jobs; they were enthusiastic, patient, reliable, knowledgeable, nice and fun. The drivers were great! We didn't have a single glitch the entire time we were traveling for 14 days. We came home feeling like we truly saw Peru and experienced the culture. And we did some fun and crazy things along the way. I can't say enough great things about Global Basecamps...and it all started, working with our fantastic agent Valentina Michaels. It was a trip of a lifetime that all six of us, mothers and daughters, with cherish forever! Can't wait to do it all again in another part of the world!

Working with Global Basecamps was easy, fun, and organized perfectly. I have used other travel agents in the past, and have never been this impressed. As a seasoned traveler, I am used to small issues arising from time to time when you take a big trip, but not a single thing went wrong! It was seamless and just a joy! I really enjoyed my time and am looking forward to the next adventure with them.

I loved every moment of this tour. It was extremely well organized with a fantastic guide, a comfortable vehicle and a nice small group size. Most of the hotels were really unique and luxurious with great food. It had a good mix of adventure and relaxation. The combination of seeing wildlife, beautiful landscapes and experiencing local culture was ideal for a first time trip to Namibia.

Had a very memorable experience with globalbasecamps. Everything was planned and detailed in the information packet and we were able to make most of our time. Definitely recommend staying at the Ryokan experience. It was perfect end to our trip. The full day guides were great especially since we were interested in the history. Having free days in between the tour days were nice because we were able to take our time on those days. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and i will definitely be coming back for my next trip!

Overall a tremendous trip. Global Basecamps showed great flexibility with my changing needs/requirements. Machu Picchu was amazing, everything that it was reputed to be. Being able to hike in from the Inca Trail, through the Sun Gate, and then being able to spend most of three days exploring Machu Picchu, was unforgettable. Hiking Huaya Picchu on the last day was stunning and not as difficult as I had expected (though not easy). Having a couple of days to explore the Sacred Valley was well worth the time. Highlights were Moray and the salt mines at Maras and Ollantaytambo (an extra day there was well-worth it as well). The accommodations set up by Global Basecamps were really nice without being pretentious or ostentatious. I would totally indorse this trip with Global Basecamps and will look for other trips with them.

From the time we arrived in Japan until stepping on to the airport shuttle bus back to the airport for our return trip home, global basecamps was our unseen shepherd. Our printed guide was meticulous and accurate in detail. Hotels and accommodations selected just fit our expectations. Laura Roundy did it again!!!!! This 8-day trip to Thailand with my 9-year old grandson far exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were excellent, the guide (Sam) was terrific, and the itinerary was comprehensive. You need to be in fairly good shape to do all the things on the list, though—also factoring in the fact that it is HOT and HUMID in Thailand. Elephant World in Kanchanaburi was an amazing experience, but it was not an easy day. It was hard work getting the food ready for the elephants and hauling it to the appropriate place. My grandson and I wouldn't trade that day for anything, though. Such great memories!!!! The next time I get travel fever, Laura and Global Basecamps are the first ones I’ll call!

I spent a lot of time calling, talking to, and researching multiple travel companies before finding Global Basecamps. Once I talked to my travel team at G.B., it was crystal clear that they were confident in their services, comfortable talking about pricing, their local connections, how the trips/treks are put together, and encouraged me to find the best fit for me. One of the things that completely sold me on G.B. was that they take care of their local porters, guides and crew. Not only that, they support the education and resources that produce those guides and porters! Any company willing to invest in the locals in a developing country has a bigger perspective on what travel really is and how it can impact your life. There are many companies out there that can get you to Machu Picchu or wherever it is you want to go - HOWEVER - there is only one company that globally encompasses a travel experience with as much respect and thoroughness as Global Basecamps. They answered every single one of my questions, they were considerate, courteous and absolutely willing to be contacted in any type of emergency. Fantastic trip to Machu Pichu and the Lares Valley. Every aspect of the trip was perfect! The lodges were beautiful, with excellent food and amenities. We had the best guides from Mountain lodges of Peru, Felix and Yarek. They were amazing with lots of knowledge of the area; and always considered of our health and well being. I will definitely consider Global Base camp for our next adventure.
