We had a wonderful trip to temples, ruins, remote villages, a remote river lodge, a quiet seaside resort and exotic Bangkok.

Just returned from 18 beautiful days of independent travel in New Zealand. We had a good collaboration with Laura Hagler who used some of our travel ideas as well as introducing many of her own. Her New Zealand team were also great. Accommodations and tours were great and we'd recommend New Zealand to everyone.

I can't thank my agent Valentina enough for all she did! From beginning to end, she was fantastic! She worked with me to get the right trip put together. Since we basically created our own trip - we were paired with another couple - funny to say but what a perfect match!! From the moment we landed in Mt. Kilimanjaro to the time we were dropped off, the trip was nothing but fun, easy and exciting. Everything was taken care of plus a few unexpected perks! This was my second time in Tanzania and by far the best! Maasai Wanderings was also a fantastic partner. Finding out that they have built a school in a very rural area and sitting with the children for a while added that much more to the trip. We are already looking into our next adventure with our new travel friends and with Global Basecamps! Thank you for making this trip one that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Loved our Thailand/Cambodia trip curated by Global Basecamps. The pre-trip communications were exceptional and a sign of the wonderful experience we would have when we arrived in Thailand and Cambodia. Once we arrived, every excursion and hotel were as described. We had an amazing trip and would use Global Basecamps again … no doubt!

My experience with Global Basecamps was terrific. Every guide and driver was right on time and very prepared and personable. And the hotels were perfect. Highly recommend.

We has a great itinerary and accommodations based on our preferences; well-chosen guides who were friendly and knowledgable; flawless execution of all transfers. As a result we had a low stress vacation and were able to focus on being present instead of making arrangements for the next step.

Everything worked like clockwork, guides were all fantastic and was obvious they really enjoyed what they were doing.

My wife and I just returned from a two-week trip to coaster Rica that was coordinated through Global Basecamps. This was actually the second trip that we had taken through them, having gone to Peru/Machu Picchu two years earlier. I can't say enough about the quality of the trip that they were able to provide. All of the guides, activities, transportation, food, were first rate. I would not hesitate to use them in the future, and certainly recommend them to all of my friends.

My wife and I used Global Basecamps for our honeymoon in Thailand and I couldn't be happier with our experience. GB made the entire process easy, the trip we planned was fantastic and filled with variety, and we *literally* did not experience any issues- which isn't easy on a trip like that! I can't wait to use Global Basecamps again and I would recommend using them if you're looking to experience fun and exciting cultures around the world.

The Lodge to Lodge trek Custco to Machu Picchu was fabulous. The lodges were better than expected and we enjoyed each one in different ways. The settings, the food, the people. Lodge 1 The Lamay Lodge Delightful gardens with 2 resident Lamas. Lovely spacious bedroom opening to the garden at the back and hot water bottles in the bed at night!!!! Food was good. Lodge 2 The Hawasiuasi Lodge - Beautiful setting with views of a huge waterfall. We came down from the mountain pass and saw the lodge, it was a welcoming sight after a difficult hike in the rain!!! We had individual Hot Tubs on our decks and again hot water bottles in the bed at night! On this evening it was Thanksgiving in the USA and the chef made us a Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The Staff were delightful, dressed in traditional dress and gave us a warm welcome on arrival, the Lodge was spectacular. Lodge 3 in Urubamba - a beautiful garden setting with the mountains in the back ground, close to town. On arrival we had the most delicious lunch cooked in the outside kitchen and in the evening we had pizzas cooked in the outdoor Pizza oven. We had little bungalow/houses and most people doubled up in the houses, each house had a kitchen, living room and fireplace and 2 or 3 bedrooms, our house had 2 bedrooms one king and one twin, we did not get to use the living room or outdoor patio as only there for one night. Lodge 4 - This was the Hotel Inkaterra in Aguas Calientes. Beautiful, with an Orchid garden, the river running next to the hotel, humming birds, flowering trees and shrubs and bird of paradise flowers. There were 2 hot spring hot tubs and a spa. The Food was delicious. Rooms was spacious and comfortable. The Treks - The Treks were a little more challenging than we expected but mainly due to the altitude and the effects it had on our bodies, breathlessness and so uphill was often a struggle - Some of the group had altitude sickness, throwing up and a few had upset stomachs, and one girl su...

We first heart of Global Basecamps in 2016 when we were looking into a trip to Japan. They did such an awesome job that we used them again in 2017 to go to Costa Rica, & then this year to South America. Firstly, the quality of the service providers they use in each country is unmatched - every guide is knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly & experienced, & our trips would have been diminished in scope and quality without them. Five-star hotels are not our thing, but everywhere we stayed in South America was lovely & unique, especially the highland tent camp on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos, where giant tortoises are everywhere. Not to mention the 5-star chef & his staff there! It's difficult to plan a trip to somewhere you've never been ("Is 4 days in X location enough or too much?", etc.), but following discussion, your consultant can organize something perfect to accomplish your objectives. It's also comforting to know that Valentina was available for the duration, overseeing all of the small details that made getting around in a country where we don't speak the language go as smoothly as possible. I can't really recommend Global Basecamps enough!

Our 10 day trip to Egypt in June 2018 was an experience of a lifetime, and Global Basecamps made that possible. Valentina was wonderful to work with, and made sure we were able to see and do everything we wanted and fit within our budget. The guides, the hotels, the sights, everything was so wonderful! I hope to go back in the future. We enjoyed it so much that we went with Global Basecamps, and Valentina, to book our Nov 2018 trip to Machu Picchu.

Absolutely a trip of a lifetime. Every detail was discussed, planned and exceeded my expectations. I was looking to having an authentic and exciting adventure - mixing the much anticipated Safaris with local experiences and a chance to better understand the people and culture. It was simply an amazing experience that at the end of each day we couldn't believe it could get any better. It did - each day seemed more remarkable. My pictures don't do it justice, so the memories that are evoked from looking at them remind me of an adventure that was simply magical.

Selection of the hotels was fantastic. Can’t be happier than the 3 hotels ever stayed. Schedules lined up to move from one location to another were well considered. Tips for tipping included in the package was helpful. Inclusion of the Manaca card was very useful. Your interactions with me in the planning process were always in time. Also, the fact that one good person took care of me throughout the process (except for travel insurance step) gave me strong confidence in your company. Thank you!

We all enjoyed our trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana except for a small portion in Zimbabwe. We were assured a total refund for that part of our trip by Global Basecamps and the company in Zimbabwe. They have also responded positively with any problems or concerns we have had in the past as well (which are usually minor). Otherwise it was truly a well planned out trip and we could not be happier. This was our 7th trip through Global Basecamps and I would recommend them 100%. Megan Yash had put together a truly wonderful experience for my family as always. We had our 9yo grand-daughter with us and everything worked like clockwork. We got a little panicky at one point when we had to start our trip home at the airport in Maun and out of no where a Global basecamps representative introduced herself to us and immediately walked us through the process. It was a real life savior. I have come to totally rely and trust Megan with all my travel needs. Global Basecamps is really the best. A million thanks!

We did the “Cusco & 7 day Lares Lodge to Lodge Trek to Machu Picchu". The lodging was very nice. One of the hotels was cold as they had not finished the gas fireplace yet, but we just dressed warm. The food was incredible. The hiking was great and we liked the ability to opt for easy, challenging or none at all. Our group was only 12 people and our party was 6 of them and the others in the group were very enjoyable. Everything went smooth and we all had a great time!
