I had piles of credit cards on top of my regular mortgage and other loans and it was to the point that what I was paying on my credit cards I would use to get by so the balance was slightly increasing monthly. I checked with a few credit management companies and family credit Management seemed to be the best fit for me as far as terms went. I had about $60000 in unsecured debt and they negotiated with all of the creditors and lowered my interest along with managing the payments for me for a $40 fee. I will note that some of the interest rates family credit Management initially gave me in the initial offer did end up slightly higher after I signed on and they negotiated with the creditors. The first few months was the hardest not having that credit to rely on but eventually it just became the normal. It's not easy to change your spending habits or rely on somebody else to make your payments but it definitely took the stress away and I just had to worry about one monthly payment. I am now completely free of any and all credit card debt and don't plan to go back. I should note that one of my concerns was my credit score getting hit and to my surprise it only dropped about 10 points and in about 6 months it was back to where it was previously and now my credit score is 30 points higher then when I started this journey.

I’ve been working with FC for the last 8 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. They called my creditors, worked out lowering interest rates and then made it easy for me to split my monthly payments in half, paying on the 1st and 15th of every month. Life happens and many of us get into bad financial situations. Although I am extremely happy and fortunate to have closed my account with FC, I am so thankful for all of their help over the years. I am so happy I found FCM. They really took the stress out of getting my debt under control.
