Purchasing with ApplePay was smooth and the frames were on sale at a great price. Been riding with them for several weeks and the chromopop is well balanced in sun and clouds and the fit with my helmet is perfect. No soreness behind the ears or nose.

The glasses themselves are fine. Maybe a bit flimsy/flexible, but overall not the worst pair I’ve had. The issue is the customer service. I had issues with my prescription (provided by eye doctor) and the only resolution was to get the lenses replaced. In all my years of wearing glasses, this is a simple, regular issue that all stores have a process to resolve. I messaged Smith Optics after I got a new prescription and didn’t hear back for weeks. When I finally got a response, all they said was that they couldn’t help me but could offer a discount on a new pair of glasses. Just be careful with ordering prescription glasses/sunglasses from Smith, as it could lead to additional costs like it did me.

Wish they had spare temples, rather than having to buy the whole frames.

Smith Optics customer service replaced my damaged/delaminated lenses without charge on a very new Slider sunglasses.

Bought 2 guide series fishing glasses for bonefishing in the early 2000s. At that time they came with a lifetime warranty. Since that time, one pair has delaminated twice. First time sent them back for repair and just paid for shipping. This second time, same glasses they delaminated once again and in storage since 2017. Well cared for and not overused. Smith instead of honoring the warranty is giving me a 40% discount on a new pair of my choosing. My second pair I still use daily not to fish but to protect vision in the Florida sun. Near 80 fishing has worn itself out and 2000 bonefish and 2 island records seems enough is enough. Will be filing a complaint withe the consumer protection agency about their warranty practices.

My glasses arrived with two scratches in the lens. Not good. Smith offered a refund. Good. I decided to keep them as sending back meant waiting on a credit. Also I would have had to reorder. Not good. The scratches are small and down in the lower corner and are only visible if you contort your left eye to see then. In bright light you can hardly see them. I use these for hunting, fishing and ATV riding so they will get scratched pretty quick anyway.
