Still working on getting this thing up and running, but I’m confident it will be great once it’s finished. That said, putting it together was a huge battle. Even with strong high-level DIY skills, this was far more difficult than expected. I had the area professionally leveled and sand laid down, but it was still a nightmare. The accompanying video is basically useless — it’s only good as a very quick visual reference to see if you’re on the right track. The instructions assume you already know far more than you actually do. They’re poorly written and skip important details that should be clearly explained. For example: They don’t mention that you also need to put pavers under each plastic support shoe (the instructions only show them under the buttresses). You’ll only notice this in some videos or if you look very closely at one illustration. The top rail pieces come in different sizes with no notes or markings indicating where each one goes. The trench digging instructions are vague. Just so you know: it’s a 10-inch wide trench, followed by a 22-inch space, then the next trench, and so on. This is a critical step that should be explained much more clearly. The list of issues with the instructions goes on and on. On the positive side, the Pool Factory staff is fantastic — super kind, helpful, and supportive. I wish I had called them more often instead of struggling through it on my own. Their explanations and advice were what finally helped me get it done right. (Please note they do not write the instructions — that’s not their fault. ) All that said, I really should have waited one more season, saved up, and had a local professional crew install it. If you’re considering this pool, save yourself the headache and hire it out.
