I bought this mainly for my child during a long car ride. While it did work... the unit wouldn't hold a charge for more than a couple of hours. I rented one a few years back and didn't have that problem. I apparently got a unit near the end of it's life.

Our plans had to be canceled and the service from TravelWifi worked with us so we would not be charged. We use Travelwifi whenever we travel and it has worked 100%. I highly recommend

In Death Valley some parts of the big area have a death zone and the little pocket wifi is not working in death zones. Only in gas stations or specific area with connection in phones. But the wifi is still okay.

We have been using Teppy for 14days in France (central, SW and SE), perfect connectivity, all family members connected simultaneously, video streaming ok. My daughter works in the movie industry and spent several hours online working & sharing videos and other very heavy files. 9€ per day with unlimited giga could sound expensive, but we got a zero-problems connectivity experience, which is priceless when you have to travel&work. We have been considering to buy the unit, but the data plans for the purchase are different than for rental and don't suit our need, that's a big pity! If they change this policy, we'll consider the purchase for sure.

My wife and I recently had to visit remote areas of central region of France for family reasons and I required connectivity to continue working remotely. Travel wifi provided just that.

We rented it at the last minute for a 2000 mile round trip from Iowa to Texas. We just used it for web access, not streaming video so i can't speak to the speed. Even in rural areas though we had internet access. Just as a side note, i was tempted to purchase the unit when we were done for $99 but it appears the data plans are structured much different than for rentals. We did the 5GB/day on the rental. That doesn't seem to be an option for a purchased unit. You can purchase a 7 day or 30 day plan but the GB is total for the period, not per day.

2nd time teppy rental. 1st in Iceland connection along the entire southern coast was unbelievably good. 2nd time rented for use in US rural area, didn't get a connection in 4 days. Rating skewed to right due to phenominel Iceland performance. Would rent again outside of US.

Bought a device and the plan for my trip in asia and the hotspot is amazing! Highly recommended!

My husband and I decided to purchase a Teppy hotspot after reading some online reviews. We were deciding between two companies, but went with Tep since we typically fly American Airlines (the only airline out of our small town) so having in-flight WiFi access (listed under Extras) was a huge perk. As it turns out, if you purchase the unit Prime WiFi is not an option - it is for rentals only. This was not at all clear on their website (and now the link to the Prime WiFi details doesn't work), and when I contacted customer service to try to figure out how to connect the in-flight wifi I was told it was not an option for a purchased unit. After a few minutes the customer service agent said she'd offer me a special option - that for $19.95 I could buy the service, but then couldn't tell me if that was a one-time purchase or not (I later found out that it is only good for 30 days). The unit worked well as a hotspot, but without the advertised perk I bought it for, I likely would have purchased the competitor.

The company was very understanding and issued us a credit for our next trip. We will be counting on them again for our next trip to Europe!

We had to cancel and our refund was processed quickly and efficiently. Very friendly also. Thank you and we will be back.

Excellent communication and response time. Had to cancel Wifi rental due to COVID-19. Somewhat disappointed full refund not issued. However, they provided on order/ticket number as credit for future use. Advised to contact them 10 days in advance before redeeming. Also told there is no expiration date for credit, which was generous. Hope there are no problems in the future when it comes time to redeem credit... Thank you!

Thanks for this travel WiFi . I will use it again next time I travel overseas . It’s reliable and efficient . Never had a problem using it.

Efficient pick up from Heathrow and excellent customer support but effectiveness of the device was variable. Initially it needed rebooting remotely several times and then I had to reboot it every time I moved location. Worked extremely well in Adelaide, Hobart and Sydney but could not access WiFi for stays in between major cities, even when other people seems to be accessing WiFi on devices from other companies. I wouldn’t expect it to work in remote, outback areas but I was in tourist routes all of the time. Website should be more specific about the locations in Australia where this will work.

Sadly I had to suspend my trip, so I can't comment on the device quality. But support team was very efficient and I got full refund. For sure I'll be using this service once I'm abble to concrete my trip

Rented the pocket wifi for my trip to Paris. Due to the current Co-vid situation, we had to cancel our plans. I called travel WiFi to cancel and it was such a seamless experience- fast, convenient, easy- going, etc. The workers were patient & helpful and during this time, that it is very appreciated!

It was al what we needed. Allways worked perfectly and we were conected durante the whole trip (2 weeks) without any problem. Very reccomended.

From road trips to Florida, to last year's European adventure to four countries... Teppy never fails us. It's become an essential part of our travel plans!

Rented 2 Teppys for recent 1 day NZ trip. From Taupo to Paihia, worked great. Couple of dead spots for the kids Fortnite games between towns, lol, but Google maps was never affected. Have rented for NZ trips before and they’ve always been reliable. We always rent 2 since we never know what rental house/condo will be like, and anyone with kids knows that happy kids need high speed WiFi if parents want to enjoy the trip! Thanks!
