I placed an order for a lounge at the end of June, which was the first big purchase for my first home. I was initially quoted a 10-week delivery timeframe, then advised mid-September, and later mid-October. It is now mid-October, and I still haven’t received any tracking updates or further information about my delivery. I understand delays can happen, but the lack of communication has been disappointing, especially when it comes to such a big purchase. I was really excited about getting my lounge for my first home, and I just wish the communication and customer service throughout the process had been better.

Part of the lounge delivered was incorrect (the size was completely off for just one piece). We are now having to wait an additional 12 weeks to the 12 weeks we already waited for this to be rectified. Various parts of the what is meant to be brand new lounge had dirt scuffs as well, which after having delivery issues (a whole separate issue) with James Lane and the incorrect piece, I resolved myself with some elbow grease and the guardsmen kit as I simply didn't want to deal with another issue. Considering how much we paid it's disappointing. The couch itself is comfortable. The customer service team are lovely. But the hassle has turned my partner and I off shopping with James Lane again. Family and friends asked if we've been provided with any compensation for the inconvenience. No we have not.

Best staff all round

This bed is sturdy and looks great. It was also easy to construct.

Great chairs. We paid a lot extra for them to be assembled when Infact there was no assembly required. Perhaps the sales person should have checked that more thoroughly. We found that very disappointing. But the chairs are great.

Advice on shipping time frames accurate. When purchasing staff very helpful. However on collection staff member did not offer any assistance to get large box into car which I felt would have been appreciated.

Lovely staff in the shop except they told me delivery men would bring old mattresses downstairs and they refused said they weren’t allowed too!
