Excellent customer service everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in their jobs. Prices are awesome saving extra $50 a month by switching from Verizon to Defense Mobile. Porting process could be better
Despite being somewhat of a geek, I found the porting process to be lacking in usability. The “Porting Guide” leaves much to be desired. For T-Mobile it says, "Your Account Number is your 9 digit account number (NOT phone #) on your bill. Your password is a word that you set up when creating your account.” Well, it is not a “password”, it is a PIN number that is needed, which happens to be the last 4 of your SSN. This caused me all sorts of problems. Two of my 3 porting requests happened within 48 hours. The third took over 4 days, during which time several phone calls to Defense Mobile and T-Mobile took place. I’m greatly disappointed in the lack of response with my several emails to support, which were NEVER answered. While the trouble with the last line may have been T-Mobile’s fault, I’ll never be certain. I do think that better instructions can be produced for the porting process. Even one of Defense Mobiles technicians admitted that. I hope that my switch to Defense Mobile will prove to be the right one and that all this will fade from my memory. But right now, I’m less than impressed.

There is always someone at the other end of the phone that is knowledgeable and friendly. And Defense Mobile also one of the most user-friendly websites I have ever seen. Simplicity at it's finest (and I build websites for a living.)

From first call I felt at ease and completely different then any other provider I've ever done business with. Most providers try to hit you up for extra's (nickle and dime you), ask you to stay on the line for a recorded survey interview after your call but not DM. As a matter of fact they waited about a week before kindly asking my opinion. "IF YOU'RE IN THE MILITARY, VETERAN OR FAMILY MEMBER THEN THIS IS THE PROVIDER YOU SHOULD GO WITH"!! "EXEMPLARY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COVERAGE" Let's see if you like GSM then you're on the ATT network at a much lower cost or if you prefer the CDMA network it's Verizon or Sprint at the same lower cost with no throttling... WIN! WIN!

Five star at this time
I have only use the service while in and along I40 in North Carolina. The phone signal is great. Looking forward to going home and trying it at the camp. If I can make calls and use the 4 G lte network from there it will be truly a five.

since switching to defense mobile i have been more than satisfied.. Having veterans handling support calls has got to be the single best idea in this country within the last 20 years... the service is great, but if it wasn't ... it would have to be really bad, b/c that's how pleased i am with your customer support team... keep up the good work... p.s. i will be adding two more lines shortly... and its due to the experience i had with your support team... it is a very sad day when customer support is the single biggest concern when evaluating a company... this should just be a 'give me' ... but at&t and sprint seem to think that hiring the cheapest, non-english speaking 19 year to read from a scripted paper, is much more efficient than actually hire someone who can actually help.... well its not the biggest reason i switched (mainly b/c y'all are not trying to charge an arm and a leg.. thanks), but it is the second and most satisfying reason i switched... please keep up the good work....and i like to say thank you to all employees at defense mobile for your service.... in the military and beyond... thanks a bunch, Jason Cormier

Good costomer service and price
There There C/S is pretty good. However, when I wished to add my wife and get a reasonably priced cell for her I ran into a roadblock. They do not show any more cell phones except for the higher priced I phones. The one they do show at 49.95 is out stock. I can not get an answer as to when more phones will be available so am unable to add her. This has been quite frustrating to me and fear I might have to go elsewhere. Other then that they are OK
