going to japan again after 7 years, so I went looking through my souvenirs from last trip to find the SIM company that I used. It was Sakura. Had good coverage even in the mountain areas. card was in our room when we checked into first hotel. came with a prepaid envelope to post back when we finished. great for GPS when walking around so you can find your way back to base. this alone is worth the cost. and yes - happy to sign up again for my next trip :)

Fast responses, even on weekends and holidays. The best part was they support email communication, which is the best way to speak to one another, especially if there is a language barrier. I really appreciate it. And they are very understanding and helpful.

Ordering process was nice and simple. Pick up location (Haneda Airport) went without any issues. Set up of the SIM (using Android) as the included instructions said went smooth and worked immediately. I had no problems with the internet connection. Most of the time pretty fast and reliable, I did have a stable internet connection pretty much wherever I went (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, places in-between, ...). I've been using Sakura Mobile a few times now and will continue to do so (whenever visiting Japan).

I had a little bit of trouble with the payment with a double charge. It went away after a few days and the correspondence was clear and speedy. Moving to the pick up: Pick up was easy at Narita Terminal 1. I was able to get online right away and navigate my way out of Tokyo. Daily limit was 999GB a day. However; speeds typically slowed after about 11GB. The router required a restart daily which isn't too much of a hassle. I spent most of my time in Nagoya and was worried that I wouldn't have service but it work just fine! Returning it was a breeze! If you are leaving at Narita, you can simply go to the departures floor and there is a post office you can use. I would give five stars if it wasn't for the hiccup at the start. However; I will be using Sakura Mobile again because things happen and I'm willing to forgive to see if five star service can be achieved. I believe that it is possible. So see you all next time!

Probably one of the worst on the market. Pay for 1GB, I get maybe a tenth of that. The price compared to other companies is way higher. The internet crashes multiple times a day without warning. Get anything else besides this.

Easy to set up service, great customer service and support.

Sometimes my phone service slows down but it isn't a big issue. The fact that you can call and receive other services such as tech help, or other issues and problems in English is a big plus. I just wished that Sakura mobile worked with Line with age verification. I was able to do it long before I had Sakura mobile and knowing that I don't have to worry about it in the future is a big plus. It'll be hard for people coming to Japan for short/long term stays that already use Line. Hence the 4 stars.
