Booked sim and wifi from uk before travelling. Easily found collection point in airport and staff were exceedingly helpful in setting up. Worked all the time whilst out, couple of time in hotels it wouldn't connect and I just restarted my phone and it was all OK. Posted back at airport.

Poor service

I rented a pocket wi-fi device for a week. It worked flawlessly during my trip , I did not experience any outages. The pickup was very easy at Kansai Airport and the staff were nice. Highly recommended service provider!

Just rented a Sakura Mobile pocket WiFi for two weeks. It worked flawlessly. Pickup was quick and easy from Narita Airport and then just put it in the return envelope and drop it in a post office box for an easy return. We dropped it in a PO Box at Narita Airport.

I liked that internet worked everywhere we went. All maps, apps, and social media loaded fast. For us, it was very important that Sakura Mobile is Russian phone numbers friendly. Overall, esim is very convenient for short travel, highly recommend it

Do Not use Sakura. My e-sim didn't connect and their online support robot unhelpfully replied that enquiries typically take about 24 hours to respond. So could take longer than 24 hours! This is after you have tapped to deny any prospect of a refund- required in the activation process. I had hoped warning them of this review might prompt assistance. They are much faster at taking your money. They left me dependent uhon wifi- utterly useless customer support. Score 0/10." Sometimes does not work , I’ve had an unlimited plan. Very dissapointed :((

They are thieves, the ESIm never worked and they did not return what I paid and they did not give me a logical answer.

Such a good service. We rented a mobile router for 18 days. It was shipped directly to our hotel a few days before we arrived, they even accomodated a short notice hotel change without problem. The router arrived in a little bag with cable, charger and a prepaid return envelope. the SSID and password on the back. The router worked really well most of the time, it freaked out a couple of times, maybe due to excess heat, and one day it ran out of power before we got back to the hotel (scary...). We used it for VOIP, internet browsing, IM and Android Auto navigation. overall 9.5 out of 10.

Fast installation online - you get an email with a link to installation. There is a page where you can check how much you have used and how much you have left. Works perfect.

Wij hadden met gezin van 3 voor 3 weken een wifi kastje mee. We hebben een rondreis gemaakt en bereik was overal goed. Werkte perfect! Wij hadden totaal 4 apparaten erop. Moest soms even opnieuw opgestart maar dat was hele kleine moeite. Wij hadden inclusief verzekering en extra batterij. Was op lange dagen op pad erg handig.

I needed unlimited and reliable web usage for our two-week holiday trip in Japan, as my own European mobile net was not a practical alternative. Sakura Mobile seemed to answer my needs, and this it surely did! The Wifi device worked fine, had a long-lasting internal battery, and could fine a strong network field in every situation, including a Shinkansen ride. The customer service was also perfect. Should I visit Japan again, I would choose Sakura Mobile again without hesitation.

Works perfectly and very easy to use. Staff at the airport were super helpful and efficient. For a group of five it was well worth the cost. Will use again if we come back to Japan.

Traveled most of Japan for 3 months. Tried to use Sakura Mobile, poor coverage, the download spped was average 10mb. The biggest issue I had was fare usage is linited to 2Gb per day then the speed will drop to 200 bits for a couple of days. This is totally unusable. Also this limitation is not clear on there web site. I can't recommend.

I ran into trouble associated with the specific model of my cell phone. I contacted Sakura and they responded immediately. Through a series of emails, the problem was resolved quickly. Great customer service. Technically, the service worked excellently, with zero problems encountered.

At least once a day the pocket wifi connection would seen to dye, and if have to power down and b back up to get reconnected. Plus I got the least days so done sites very slow to load.

Sakura Mobile is very quick and works everywhere in Japan! Futhermore, they have a very responsive team that answers all your questions very fast!
