Sometimes I had problems to connect to the internet data when I'm outside my wifi connection, even though I still have mb from my plan.

Everything works great, and I'm more that satisfied about it 🥺

Good value for money however it was sometimes slow in loading. When out of data, it would be useful to receive a message inviting you to purchase more data.

I used Sakura mobile sim card option and I am very satiafied. It was delivered to my hotel prior to my arrival. It is very easy to set up, instructions are included for both IOS and Android. I travelled in and out of Tokyo and connection was perfect all the time and at very good speed. Definitely recommend this service.

Cannot connect eSIM to my Samsung phone over 24 hrs of emails back and forth to Sakura help desk…they also only every back every few hrs but of course without wifi correspondence is infrequent……

I rented their eSIM for 15 days while traveling with my family through the "golden route" (Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka). The internet connection was available just ~20% of the time and was very frustrating. We also had a Ninja wireless Pocket Wifi that worked ~90% of the time and an NTT DoCoMo (via Airtel) eSIM that worked 100% of the time. So Sakura mobile is by far the worst of the three we tried.

I am not sure what the reason was but I had issues with the pocket wifi during my trip in Japan. I had to restart the device many times to restore the internet connection. Luckily this issue occurred only time to time. It was a major inconvenience though.

I researched WIFI/SIM options before travelling to Japan for vacation. I was so pleased I chose Sakura Mobile. From ordering my router to delivery to my hotel, the transaction was seamless. When I arrived in Japan, my package was waiting at my hotel. It wasceasy to set up and connect my devices. On my final day, I simply packahed up my router, batteries and placed tbe items in a pre-paid envelope and dropped it in the mail. It coyld not has been more convenient!! I received a confirmation email that my device had arrived back to Sakura. I travel the world and this is by far the best service I have ever received. Reliable WIFI service even while travelling throughout Japan. I highly recommend using Sakura Mobile. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!

The pocket wifi was not delivered to my hotel. After several days of email exchanges I was told it was delivered to anoter address and I would need to pay an additional cost for the package to be redirected. By this time I was almost at the end of the first week of my vacation and about to move hotel again, so I said there was no point in continuing just cancel and make a full refund. I paid in full in good faith, but have not received a refund of my payment and this is both disappointing and unaceptable.

We were three family groups in Japan at the same time. We all rented Pocket WIFI units - so three in total - and it worked really well. Having the three, and the ability for any one of us to connect to any one of the units, gave us a lot of ability to stay in contact while in the country, but avoiding expensive cell phone charges from our home country. I got the information of sakura mobile from my friend who used to using it. Luckily it was easy to applied and have the cash on delivery option for the activation fee and the deposit, and I got information that we can change the payment method from cash to the card. I will try this payment method once get my new debit card in Japan. Hopefully it works

The connection has been very poor on my phone, it’s made it really hard to access google maps at times when I’ve been in need of it. I hope this is worked on in the future

Great support for foreigners. Being able to pre-order and collect the SIM card at the airport. Additional discount for subscribing to fiber internet is also a great plus.

It was really convinient, I had no trouble with my data and voice Sim. I would definitely recommend it to anyone getting a start up mobile Sim for the 1st time.
