Easily navigable and assistance via phone too

I just ordered another sail kit for my Oughtred Gannet. The first set was a Gunter main and jib and went together perfectly. Instructions were very thorough and the sails work great. This new order will be a balanced lug sail in tanbark. I’m really looking forward to building the sail and seeing how it works!

I was a little irritated that I couldn’t walk into a sales counter and check out the goods, so I sent an email to your site. Bill Becker responded right away and invited me in with an appointment. The meeting was great. He showed us the samples we were interested in, reviewed our project, gave us some good advice, and explained the reasons for no sales counter. He topped it off with a shop tour. We left with a new account and everything we needed to start our project! Fantastic experience!

Easy to find what I'm looking for

I was looking for a machine to sew thick fabrics and make covers, awnings, and outdoor cushions. I'm extremely happy to have discovered Sailrite. I feel confident in this company and this product. They offer a lot of support.

Order process, order confirmations and navigating the site is outstanding. Couple of suggestions on product delivery. . . . . Strataglass delivers with multiple pieces of tape on the roll however opening it can potentially rip the paper packaging or scratch the glass. Could you use tape with a tab on it to seal the roll ? This would make opening the roll easier and help maintain the integrity of the paper packaging ( for use when sewing on the tabletop ) . . . . . On delivery of fabric ( Sunbrella for example ) . . . . . Could the fabric be cut with a hot knife instead of mechanically being cut ? This would seal the edge and be ready for use right away. That's my two cents for today. Thanks for the format for suggestions.

I miss Sailrite's excellent phone support. However, I asked online what to purchase in addition the Fanny Pack Kit to do all 4 kits and I received a clear and detailed answer and did add to my order. If all goes well with the first set of 4, I will make more in different colors to give as presents.

I received my Ultrafeed LSZ just a few days after I ordered it. The setup went just fine with good printed and video instructions. Only a couple issues/suggestions. First, the cap came off the bottle of oil during shipping so there was a lot of oil inside the parts bags and on the machine. Perhaps at least a double bag or extra packaging would be helpful. Then it might also be helpful to label what small parts/tools are in each of the plastic bags since some of these items are spare parts and others are needed for set up. (For instance, the instructions indicated that the Posi-pin was already on the machine, but it was actually in one of the plastic bags with some other items. ) Also, I received two thread stands. I installed the one that looks like the video and printed instructions, but I'm not sure what to do with the other one. The threading is a bit more complicated than I expected, but, as I said ,the instructions were excellent and I know I will enjoy the machine especially for projects like getting through layers of denim and canvas
