I ordered the AMP Research PowerStep XL from RealTruck on August 11th, but the package did not arrive until September 2nd. Upon delivery, the packaging was in unacceptable condition. The top of the box was not properly secured, several areas were torn or had holes, and even the smaller boxes containing the components were damaged. I had arranged for friends to help me install the steps on September 7th. Unfortunately, during the installation process, we discovered that all four mounting brackets were missing, making it impossible to proceed. I contacted RealTruck the following day to report the missing components and was told a supervisor would return my call to address the situation. On September 10th, Bradley from AMP Research contacted me and explained that the mounting brackets were on backorder and would take approximately 30–40 days to arrive. He also informed me that the PowerStep XL units themselves were on backorder. During that conversation, I was assured that everything had been taken care of and that I would receive the missing brackets within the stated timeframe. However, by October 6th, I had received absolutely no communication, updates, or confirmation regarding the replacement parts. I contacted RealTruck again, only to discover that the AMP Research representative could not locate any notes or order confirmation indicating that the missing brackets had ever been ordered. Despite being assured nearly a month earlier that the issue was being handled, I was now being told that my order remained open but that no action had been taken to resolve it. I requested to speak with Bradley directly but was informed that he was not accepting calls. I then asked to speak with another supervisor, only to be told that none were available. With no other options, I requested that the representative initiate an order for the missing brackets or arrange for replacement steps.
