PBB You Tube Channel
I recently stumbled onto Donna’s You Tube Channel lessons. Quick 15 minute lessons are a great way to revisit topics or find one you wish to explore later. Donna makes bridge available in so many different ways . . . There is something for everyone.

Play Better Bridge Breakfast Club
Join Donna (and her assistants) M-F at 9:45 central time for free mini lessons. Each day she reviews the clear steps to take in the bidding process, the proceeds to an offensive or defensive play of the hand. Today’s clear explanation of “Use of the forcing defense” was great. She then refers you to her longer lessons that are available for purchase.

Maximal Doubles and Game Tries
Another great lesson by Donna. Want to improve your game and bidding precision? This is the video for you explains the difference between Game tries and Slam tries taking the guess work out of the bidding.

Puppet Stayman over 1NT
Donna discussed this during her 1/23 morning lesson. This lesson fills in the details. It's a convention I will try to adopt. Like it a lot!!

Bridge For Everyone
Donna had a class for all levels of learners, easily explained and always hand examples to practice what you learn. I also suggest you join her daily on Bridge for your Brain as I always learn something every time I a able to listen. I wish she would record them and post on site so that when I am busy I can still enjoy later

Whatever topic you want to learn, Play Better Bridge has a lesson on it!
Play Better Bridge has a lesson on any bridge topic there is. Most lessons have a video along with a PDF handout that makes it so easy to review the lesson. The lessons also come with 4 practice hands so you can practice what you have learned.

Negative Doubles, Responder's Best Toy!
Today I want to tell you this couldn't have come at a more convenient time. . Several days ago I had several hands that I just could not decide what to do. Of course, I thought of the Negative Double (NX) herein for my discussion, and sure enough, I found my answer with Step no 3, I have reviewed this product before and need a refresher every month or so, plus this is my favorite convention. It encompasses 5 different types of ways to play, Type 1, is the original and is described as a TOX, and you must have 4, 4 of the other 2 suits, and enough strength to go to the next level. the first 2 Types most players are aware of; but Type 3, is the one I always forget! First of all, the NX is only used after P has opened the bid with 1 of a suit and his RHO, over calls with a suit bid, and then the NX comes into play. I am describing Type 3, it requires a 6-carded suit, and 4-9HCP's. Your hand resembles a weak 2 bid, which couldn't be bid at the 1Level, and you were not able to bid it. Class notes are very definitive and there is the real-time play of the hand you may review this anytime in your Sharefile and in Sharp Bridge. This convention describes all 5 Types which not only is the cake cup, but the icing on top! Enjoy!

Donna teaches you “the why”
Donna teaches you “the why” not just “the how” to approach bridge hands, whether on defense or as declarer. I have learned so much from these lessons, even on topics that I thought I had mastered.

Two Stopper Rule
Once again Donna has done a great explanation of when to hold up. She clearly defines when to use the Rule of seven and when not to. This video shows the importance of losing the first trick to the hand with the long suit in notrump.

courses rock!
I can find any topic I need to learn or review here--and then, it is clear, visual & easy to understand and practice!! PBB is my "go-to" for bridge game improvement. I share this site with all of my partners & many of those I meet at the table!

3 Keys to Slam Bidding
Clear steps presented in hand analysis. The explanation of the definition of “Sorry Side Suits” was most helpful.

Misfit Bidding
My partner and I had a bidding collision at the bridge table so I came home and watched Donna's Misfit Bidding Video. As always it was filled with great examples and key points. I have made several notes and plan on sharing them with my partner. Thanks!

Enjoying Breakfast Club and video lessons
As a strong beginner, I'm enjoying the breakfast club several days a week. Though often over my head, the great explanations make sense and I learn more each day. I've also bought a few video lessons and look forward to learning more. The website (buying videos, using club/wallet codes) is a bit of a challenge, but I'm hoping I get more used to it.

Something for Everyone
This website contains a wealth of clear, concise information for me -- and I think all bridge players. If I have a question about a particular bidding convention, play technique, or defense technique I start here. Much better than trying to 'google' the web. Donna has it all. Thanks for all you do for us Donna.

The place for ‘everything’ bridge
If I could devote 24 hours every day to one thing, it would be to the PBB site. One of the best things is the “Breakfast Club” where you can get a Free live Bridge lesson daily, most often taught by Donna herself. The lessons are easy to follow and they allow for real-time questions from viewing participants both during lecture and play of the hand. You can’t find anything more reliable for growing your game.

Singleton Leads
Always been nervous about them but with a clear, concise set of guidelines, I can do it with much more confidence. Surprised my partner, too. We had practice and a written explanation to train with and, of course, great explanation.

Donna’s On the Go classes
Donna is an excellent teacher and explains the logic behind bridge decisions in a way that is easy to understand and incorporate. The On The Go classes have proven to be a real gem in a just an hour. The last class on exceptions to leading a singleton was great information and I was able to share the three exceptions with my fellow students from memory! I recommend Donna to almost every bridge player I meet, face to face or online!
