I purchased an Energie Opus mattress after doing my research on Essentia and visiting the Queen Street store in Toronto. I love the fact that the mattress is solid, there is minimal transfer of motion, and that there are no VOCs or off gases. However, my one complaint is that it did not feel as soft or as comfortable as the mattress did in the store. I was told to give it the full 30 days of "breaking in", but even then I was still waking up with considerable stiffness and a sore lower back. I have had the mattress for over 90 days now, and it is finally starting to feel more comfortable. But not the sleeping on a cloud experience that I was hoping for. Just a cautionary warning, please note that it won't feel as soft as the model you try in the store, so perhaps consider picking a softer model. I sure wish I had.

We have two Essentia mattresses which our family thoroughly enjoys: the Dormeuse and Tatami. We never suffer from aches and pains. My son, who is a toddler, has a restful sleep once he succumbs to it. We have had the mattresses for about two years, and they are holding up well. We also have peace of mind knowing that the mattresses are "clean" and free of harmful chemicals. We are very happy with this investment.

I'm so happy that I found essentia. It took me a while to pull the trigger and pay the premium price, but now that I've slept on the mattress for several months, I can confidently say it's a premium sleep experience! I researched and tried different mattresses for over a year. I wanted to go with a mattress company that took their environmental and social impact seriously -- including using natural and organic materials, ethical factory spaces, and valuing transparency. I've had trouble sleeping for years, often tossing and turning all night or waking up sore. And now, I look forward to crawling into bed. The mattress supports my joints and I wake up feeling truly rested.

This was purchased for my partner. He has enjoyed it immensely. We will likely purchase a mattress in the future given how much this has been helpful.

For the past two years we had been searching for a high quality mattress that could address some of physical issues. We had done some research and found information on Essentia products. While visiting family in Ottawa we decided to drop by the store. We where greeted by Mitch the store manager. He provided us with an experience like we've never had before. Professional customer service, no stress, answered all of our questions, responded to our e mails within minutes, etc. We purchased a king mattress and it was sent to our home in Moncton within the time frame they had advised. This bed was purchased for my kiddo, who is a very hot sleeper. He really enjoys the bed, especially in the summer. It feels a bit cold for me, but it isn't my bed, so no problem.

Love my Essentia mattress

We got the Tatami Hybrid 5 months ago and have loved it. Getting into bed it feels so soft, but is surprisingly supportive - my muscles all relax as soon as I lie down on it and we sleep well. We tried it at first directly on our platform bed slats and found it really required more support underneath though (it felt too soft without it, and it would sink between the slats a bit with weight on it). We bought a simple bunky board and it's been perfect ever since. The Tatami Hybrid was a good option for us because we felt more familiar with spring mattresses, and it was also more affordable. Also love that the foam and cotton parts of it are totally biodegradable, and that's it's made in Canada.

We love our new King Dormeuse Fior mattress by Essentia! I previously would wake in the morning still feeling tired with an aching back. Now I start each day rested and refreshed. An amazing mattress; even for lighter weighted people.

Couldn't be any better!

Love my bed. We have been sleeping on it for a year now and love it. You don’t feel movement when someone rolls over. Also it is not as hot as our previous memory foam mattress.

Slept well on the new Energie Opus Mattress - Queen size. It was a bit of a struggle getting the 110 lb. mattress up two flights of stairs so we were ready for a rest. Also, we made our own slats as the warranty has strict limitations on distance between slats. Essentia's own foundation is heavy (150 lbs) and does not come in two parts so couldn't maneuver it upstairs.

I've had custom made mattresses for the past 40 years, I'll try one, use it for a few years, and find that it's lost its loft, its spring and its allure. I'd go online, find another expensive custom made one and repeat the process. Then I found the Essentia Dormeuse Fior and have stopped looking. It's the same mattress today as the day I bought it. It has stood the test of time. So much so that I bought a second one, and then 3 pillows, and a dorm topper for my daughter, and then another dorm topper for my son. Hoping I have grandkids soon so I can start them off right.

We have bought a few different mattresses here and they are all wonderful. We highly recommend this company and their products to all of our family and friends.

I now have 2 Essentia mattresses. We started with the Classic 8 and immediately noticed our body parts weren’t ‘falling asleep’ like on our old memory foam. Over time the mattress does NOT develop body memory & I no longer roll onto my husband’s side during the night. We decided to get one a little softer and bought the Energy Opus and moved the Classic & to the guest room. Now company never wants to leave. No off gassing, super comfy bamboo cotton mattress covers, no flipping required, but we do rotate it every few months (habit?)

This matress is amazing. I've been having the most amazing nights sleep. Take your time on the matress like they tell you. I don't regret one moment buying this matress in fact when I am out of town the thing I miss the most is my bed.

With a chronic neck issue connected to my more youthful football days, it's been a long & sorted challenge to find the right pillow. Over a month ago I read a review for the Forma Spa pillow & quickly sent it to my chiropractor for his opinion. I'm sure it was at least the 5th request I made of him to rate a pillow that would support my neck. I enthusiastically gave it two thumbs up, so I ordered it. From the first night of sleep with it, the usual "pain in the neck" the next morning was gone. I was thrilled! So thrilled I ordered a second one - one for travel as well. From all natural to naturally supportive, my Forma Spa has helped to change the quality of my rest. I'd highly recommend the pillow.

Cannot imagine sleeping on anything else after sleeping on my Essentia mattress for the last few years. Love it so much I got one for the guest room. An environmentally friendly mattress was important to me when I bought it, the comfort and support it offers is a huge bonus. I am the perfect advert, lol! If you are even half thinking about buying one, just do it and don’t waste time thinking about it. One word of warning, they are very heavy if you have to move them.
