I purchased the Austin fireplace mantel, and I LOVE it! I found the customer service rep on the phone (which was answered right away!) to be knowledgeable about the mantel choices and helpful. Still, I was unsure about buying a mantel online when you couldn't really tell the wood quality, color or finishing construction of the mantel by the pictures - and returns aren't free. I decided to take a chance after an exhaustive internet search didn't find any other mantels suitable for my needs, and I was amazingly surprised at how great it looked, how well it was made, and how easy it was to install. So much so that I had to write this review, even though I hardly ever do so!

I'm giving them a 5 out of 5 mainly because of their customer service. I received a damaged mantel. I emailed them and within 24 hours I had a reply and a solution. After uploading pictures of the damage, they shipped me another mantel all within 5 days. Customer service goes a long way these days!

Mantel arrived well packaged and in good condition. I deducted one star for the wait time due to back order status.
