We recently replaced our old gas fireplace with a new Mendota, high-efficiency, with gorgeous copper doors. We needed the perfect mantel surround to show off our new fireplace: after extensive research locally and online, we decided to order a custom traditional mantel surround from Mantels Direct. Our experience couldn't have been better: from the sales person on the line to the online custom design process, it was all very easy and straightforward. The mantel arrived in perfect condition, totally wrapped and fastened to a pallet. It was easy to assemble and attach to the wall surrounding our fireplace, and it fits perfectly, measuring precisely what we ordered. Our mantel surround was pre-finished, so installation was even easier. This is one of the best online experiences we've ever had, and we can recommend Mantels Direct to anyone without hesitation.

Very happy with my purchase. I was skeptical, but pleased with quality and design.

Hearth arrived with a small chip near the bottom edge; it was obviously shipped that way as there was no damage to the packaging. Got an ok discount to keep it. But then when planning on installing it I found it wasnt square. Was out 3/16" on one side and almost the same amount on the other which creates a big problem installing it. Need a bigger discount now.
