The whole process of renting a fairly big lens was exceptionally smooth. I've never used a lens of this size, and had a couple of questions that were answered (mostly to soothe my n00b concerns). I was able to learn a ton using a lens of this capability for the first time; I'm not exactly sure I need it, but sometimes getting hands on is the best way to figure that out. Would totally recommend it for anyone curious about using a long telephoto for wildlife photography.

I loved the versatility of this lens: being 18-50 fixed at F2. 8 it gave me the range that I needed! I rented this lens for travel so I wasn’t using it for anything extraordinary, just mainly for capturing memories of friends and family. It was compact, and when I have a backpack filled with my parents sweaters and knickknacks, I opted to keep my 16mm and 30mm, back in the room. Let alone that was for 8 days straight! I am currently using the a6500 and being that we are out and about the whole day, I never felt the burden of carrying camera gear, because I just need the body+lens, batteries, ND/CP for video, and I can just leave this set-up around my neck. I am highly considering purchasing one of these and selling my two primes. The only thing I would mention is that you gave to be okay with shooting at higher ISOs, but that is solely dependent on your camera body, and what you are comfortable. I was at highest ISO 6400 and I am completely fine with noise as it adds to my style. I highly recommend it, and no better place to try it out with LensRental

Lens rentals was a pleasure to work with. From advice on where I could ship from near my destination, to timing (around a holiday and I actually received the lens prior to the holiday, but was not charged the extra day). The lens was shipped in a hard-shell case and a padded lens case inside. A return label and tape were included for the return. Lens Rentals is a first class operation. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

Lensrentals service was great as it always is. I had rented the Fuji XT5 and the 16-55mm lens with the idea of maybe purchasing one as a backup to my Canon R5. In the end, however, the XT5 just wasn't for me. I wasn't that impressed with the overall image quality and the film simulations I heard so much about were underwhelming. This is the main reason I use Lensrentals -- to try before you buy. Sometimes it works out fine, but sometimes it doesn't.
