No troubles with having it sent to my hotel or posting it back. Wifi worked excellently. Needed the back up battery at times as the wifi would run out sooner than expected but overall no complaints. Would use again.

Everything went smoothly with this rental. Pick up, drop off and use was all easy. Device battery was not as good as expecting but you are given a battery back up and we also had brought our own battery back ups. So we would just plug it in when necessary. Made the trip much easier having access to fast internet all the time. Thanks.

Diamond states a 10 hour battery life. We only have both of our phones and only one was consistently on it for Google Maps. It only lasted half a day. There was a battery included to charge it mid day however we used our own. Overall very pleased with the coverage of the Wifi and would rent again. They shipped it to our first hotel and included a return label.

The entire process of renting from JapanWifiBuddy was so convenient! Picking it up at the airport post office was easy and everything was packaged into a zip up pouch. Wifi speeds were fast too.

Once you pick which plan is appropriate for you, they organise everything. You can send it to an airport or a hotel, so long as you give them sufficient notice (57 days I think). They send the router, a wall plug, charger, and depending on the plan, a power bank and it’s charger. Also, the return envelope’s information is Pre-filled and prepaid meaning all you need to do is return the package by post. Easiest way to do it is either by post office or via your accommodation’s concierge (or Airbnb host etc). Pro tip: if you spend more than 5 hours away from your accommodation or a charging stop, invest in a good quality power bank. Might cost between 30-50 USD, maybe more, but your router and phones will continue to run in the go.

It was a great saving to have internet everywhere in Japan! The device itself was okay, although the battery life wasn't great. Thank goodness for the extra battery charger that you provide! As mentioned in the instructions, the devices becomes quite hot while it's in use. We had reception almost everywhere and no problems in connecting our devices.

you really do get your moneys worth! its so easy to use, pick up, drop off and really convenient. This was such a life saver in being able to make phone calls, texts, looking up translations and directions.

We picked up wifi buddy at Narita Airport post office and it never left our side for our three week journey through Japan, until we dropped it in the post box outside of security on our way home.
