I cannot remember how many years ago I purchased my Hatteras Hammock. Thinking back it’s be over 20 years ago. The quality is outstanding. Not sun fading, no ripped seams, frayed ropes or any sign of damage.

Parts came faster than I expected and were exactly what I ordered.

Great chair. Awful assembly instructions. Should make the single swing and double swing chairs in the same prints. I hope the two new ones I bought last as long as my previous chairs which lasted 25 and 23 years.

I’ve been a loyal Hatteras Hammock owner since the mid-90s. My original cotton rope hammock lasted nearly three decades with basic care. Unfortunately, the modern replacement has been a major disappointment. The Issues - Material Stretch: The new synthetic rope is far too stretchy. Even on a standard stand, the occupant sinks nearly to the ground, making it difficult to get in and out. Poor Durability: While my old cotton version lasted decades, this new material began disintegrating after just one season. Finish Quality: The stain on the wooden spreader bars peeled and faded within a single year. ⭐ Key Takeaway: I’m not looking for a refund, but I wanted to share that the current materials don't live up to the brand's legacy. It simply isn't the same high-quality product it used to be.

Great quality hammock! We live in a tropical humid climate near the ocean so I wanted a Caribbean vibe and something that will do well with the sea spray. My palms are 10 feet apart so we settled on the DURACORD® Small Rope Hammock in Oatmeal. It looks fantastic and fits perfectly!!! Hopefully it lasts as long as some of the other reviews I’ve read but either way its perfect and I am very happy with my purchase! Would highly recommend 😊

I live in Tucson Arizona. . . we get LOTS of sun here. I've had a few other rope type hammocks/swings and they maybe last a couple years before the rope deteriorates due to UV and heat exposure. My Hatteras Hammock has been going strong for about 8 years before one rope finally broke. That's almost unheard of down here. It has been outside the entire time. In the summer it also gets exposed to chlorinated pool water (pool - hammock - pool - hammock. . . you get the idea) and the color is still as bright and vibrant as ever. Ha, it also makes a nice clothes/rug drying rack in the summer. Just ordered a new one in green (Meadow). Love my Hatteras Hammock!
