I have owned two Gaggia classics for the last several years, and have used various descalers to keep the machines clean - with mediocre success. Finally, I rebuilt and cleaned one of the machines completely and still had issues. I followed up, by virtue of recommendation of someone, with Gaggia descaler and the issues vanished. On a recent trip to Europe I was spoiled with the automatic espresso machines at all the quaint hotels. I was quickly addicted to a push of a button to get a latte macchiato. After I returned home I missed them so much I decided to purchase a machine of my own. The Gaggia Anima Prestige fit my wants perfectly. It took a couple of trys to get the proportions just right (milk and espresso are adjustable) and my husband and I couldn't be happier! The cappuccino button is great too.

It’s built like a tank, it’s easy to use, it avoids un-necessary whistles & bells, and it’s substantially quieter than the prior model (which I owned for 10 years). A clear win!

Good machine.

I love this coffee maker! It works great as an all in one system. I had a machine very similar to this one and I absolutely loved it. I had it for 13 years and when it final quit working, the maker no longer carried the machine. This machine does all the same things, but one thing I don't like is the water bin. It's flimsy getting it in and out, especially if its full of water.

Thus it has worked incredibly. My one knock was that it arrived with two scratches on the front face plastic chrome
