I have been obsessed with Credo Beauty since it's opening in Chicago's West Loop. Not only do I appreciate the perfect curation of clean beauty products but I absolutely love the service! This is my go-to spot for me and my girlfriends to meet up and indulge in a bit of retail therapy.

I went into the shop for the first time to buy my usual face cream (that I used to buy elsewhere) and had such a wonderful experience that I will definitely go back. I ended up buying 3 items to meet the requirements of the deal at the time that sent me home with a full size product. In addition to all that the lovely person helping me sent me home with several samples that I've had so much fun testing out. Credo Beauty is my go to site for skin care, makeup, and hair care products. Whether I am looking for something new, or looking to restock my clean beauty cabinet, this is the first place I come. Excellent selection and amazing customer service!

Helping pick out a product I needed and then finding a product I wouldn't normally try. I forget her name but she helped color match and apply. So lovely and always a (+) experience.

I recently received an in-store "clean" makeup service at a Seattle store. When scheduling the appointment, I clearly stated I was only interested in clean makeup. Prior to the session beginning, I stated my interest in only clean makeup. Prior to my $300 skincare/makeup purchase, I again asked if all the products presented to me were clean. Each time I inquired, I received a response, "Our products do not contain 3000 harmful ingredients. . . blah blah blah. At one point, I asked if the products were EWG approved. Again, the response was the deceptive sales tactic stated above. The first time I tried a couple Credo products at home, I decided to check each one on EWG’s website. NONE OF THE PRODUCTS I PURCHASED WERE EWG APPROVED. I then realized my direct EWG-approved product question was not answered, instead a deceptive sales tactic was delivered. When I returned all Credo products to the original store for credit, another sales rep stated the above-mentioned response of their product lines. She went on to say the products were EWG approved even though they do not contain the EWG seal…it is a costly expense for manufacturers to gain that seal, blah blah blah, but they are considered EWG approved. When I checked my purchased Credo product ratings on EWG’s website, one rated a 6, another a 5; I do not recall the others; however, NONE of them were anywhere near a 1 being low (best rating under the EWG-approved seal) with a 10 EWG rating being high (the worst). It is bad enough that women’s beauty products are not FDA approved…it’s WORSE when a female-led organization such as Credo Beauty and their employees are not fully transparent to their customers who specifically inquire about EWG ratings… Credo’s list of “harmful” ingredients does not guarantee the products are safe.
