Bought an excellent air filter back in 2019. And the Maeco decided not to sell the replacement Airvax SEFF air filters, which have to be replaced at least once a year. This has now forced me to either buy a new air filter machine form them, or go with a competitor. Guess what? 1 star because the product is unusable after a few years. it is akin to selling a Hoover but stopping the production of Hoover bags after five years.

Outstanding customer support, great product quality. Courier delivered my package to a wrong address. When I called customer support they investigated the situation, explained and apologised for the problem, most importantly offered immediate shipment of a new unit. It arrived next day. Dehumidifier itself is excellent. I know because I just went through 3 other dehumidifiers which were unbearably noisy (either rattling case, ie. design issues or loud during normal operations), unfit for use in a home setting. Arete comes across as thoughtfully designed (e. g. the fact that it can be located close to a wall, it's perfect this way). And - exactly as promised - it's quiet. If there's one regret I wish we bought the 20L not 12L model (having experienced rattling and or jet engine like products from other manufacturers we were concerned about noise levels, went for an undersized unit).
