It works well and looks good, but we haven't been able to connect it up properly as the cord is too short to reach the receptacle in an actual fireplace hearth.

I loooove my new fireplace. It changed the whole look of the room and makes it feel cozy and inviting. Since it can be on and not heating, it is on every time I am in the room! The heater is wonderful, especially the temperature control option. I’m so happy with my purchase! The only regret is I wish I had bought it sooner! Shipping was earlier than expected and I had to have FedEx hold it for a few days. The customer service help on Electric Fireplace Direct side was fantastic!
