I purchased the Blackvue DR900S-1ch after doing plenty of research and after researching BlackboxMyCar. I had to determine if BlackboxMyCar is a reputable company if I was going to place an online order. I know I could have ordered from BlackboxMyCar on Amazon but I decided to bypass Amazon and go directly to BlackboxMyCar. Once I determined that BlackboxMyCar is a reputable company, I sent an email to which Zaid responded. I also made a long distance phone call and spoke to Zaid. I was convinced I had a knowledgeable person to ask questions and get answers. Zaid emailed me links about installing a Blackvue on an Outback with Subaru Eyesight. I then went ahead an ordered online. I had already downloaded the instructions from Blackvue in order to read them ahead of time. I doubt if I will hook up to the cloud after reading reviews about the idea of being pushed into a paid plan. I will install the unit myself. I had a dashcam in my previous car which was a 2011 Subaru Outback. I replaced my 2011 Outback with a 2017 Outback in the autumn of 2016. I have the Subaru Eyesight system which prevented me from installing my DOD LS430W. My intention is to install this unit in our 2014 Subaru Impreza which does not have the eyesight system. I live in Brampton Ontario where we pay the highest insurance rates in Canada. I could no longer drive around without a dashcam after having too many close calls with red light runners and people cutting me off. I want video proof if I have an accidents and this camera will not lie. I understand that if anything bad happens, cars have a black box that can be pulled out and checked by the police. I think the Subaru Eyesight system will even show the last 30 seconds or so on video but I am not sure. I will not hesitate to tell anybody how pleased I am with BlackboxMyCar. My initial hardwire for power lasted @2.5yrs. I've got a BlackSys Ch-100B. Any idea why the wiring failed?

I bought my first dash cam from BlackBoxMyCar when they were in their old building, and I was impressed. They are dash cam professionals and know their stuff. Seeing my dash cam my Dad went into a local ‘big box’ store and what happened? The salesperson tried to sell what they had, and I would guess, what they wanted to off-load. It was an old unit that really wasn’t the best. In comparison, these guys aren’t trying to sell you a particular item, they honestly feel that they are helping you get what is right for you. In the last year I have bought two more dash cams from BlackBoxMyCar - one for my brother and a new two-channel one for me - and each time the service is the same and you are not paying extra for this as their prices are as good or better than other places. In a word (or three): I trust them!
