I've never had a bad experience with any Hornby product. Always arrives quickly and decently packaged. Never had to get back in touch so cannot comment on after service. I get fed up with people knocking succesful companies

Easy to order came early.
Always very helpful if you submit an email question and they don't fotce you to an infuriating and flawed robot like so many others do. Thdy provide good service and delivery of orders plus various discounts and redeemable points when you do purchase.
Very good service from Hornby on this ocassion. Incredible quick turn around and items well packed and delivered in a few days. Items would have normally been expensive but I used the Easter offer and membership points system to get a reduction in costs. Both items were worth the money. Again a very good experience with Hornby on this occasion.
I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently Hornby packaged and despatched this product to me.
In my hands within 24 hours - BR LNER L1 locomotive now running without the annoying click
Excellent Service from Hornby as usual. Five stars
All good, just an odd thing ot request review on
My overall experience with Hornby’s TT range is quite mixed. On the positive side, the models are visually very appealing, with excellent detailing and a high-quality look and feel. However, a number of recurring technical issues significantly affect usability. Some locomotives suffer from relatively loud motors or gear noise, even in cases where a coreless motor is used. More critically, the axle spacing is often below standard, which can lead to electrical issues and limits operational reliability. Maintenance is also more difficult than it should be. Bogie sideframes are frequently glued in place, making them hard to remove—especially problematic if adjustments to the wheel spacing are required. There are also operational inconsistencies. For example, the Class 37 is specified for a minimum radius of R2, but in practice this is not always achievable, as multiple units tend to derail on curves that other models handle without issue. Unfortunately, there is no clear indication of this from Hornby, so it only becomes apparent during operation. Rolling stock shows similar issues: some wagons are sensitive to track geometry, possibly due to low weight, and certain passenger coaches have axle clearance problems, causing contact with the body on tighter curves. Taken together, these experiences—while not exhaustive—result in a rather inconsistent overall impression. The models look excellent, but quality control and adherence to standards appear to need improvement to match their visual appeal.
