I recently bought the Alpine amp / sub and speak upgrade for the 2002 TRD ORP, WHAT an difference in performance!! The kit was comprehensive, easy to install and the support was amazing, There weer some issues, not TGP related that needed to be addresed and they shipped me more than what was needed so I could troubleshoot once and completley. They not only stand by their work, but also the equipment they sell. I will buy all further plug and play needs from this team! Thank you so MUCH!!!
I bought the Alpine syste, with speakers, sub and amp. The install was a bit confusing as there are many updates and they are not compiled into one video. The system has an issue. The RCA inputs that actually allow the sub wooffer to function overload the amp as it causes a shut down. So basically I have no sub woofer. Support was supposed to create a ticket but I havent got any information as to the status. They need to re-edit all the videos into one video not just put out short ones as the information is important. They also need to advise me as to how they plan to fix my sub woofer issue. Why they said NOT to use the RCA inputs makes no sense as the woofer has zero response without it. While I love the improvement to the 8 speakers they totally dropped the ball on the sub woofer for me. If they address this issue I will adjust my review accordingly. The system sounded amazing for the few minutes it did work, so it's definately an upgrade worth buying.
nice radio but when i had a question and called during my install, i got sent to tech support and the girl could not answer the question. She says she will go to her boss and get rite back to me. . . its the next day and nothing?????? I was left with my @#$% in my hand dash pulled apart mid install with a question on the pigtails, which i figured out and my back up camera not working. Maybe when someone spends 1300. 00 with your company you should take the time to address any issues and return calls when the you tube videos are simple no problem installs. . . . .
First, the team at TGP have done a great job at putting their plug-n-play kits together. I did have a couple of questions that I answered myself by simply re-reading and/or re-watching the install videos. I have done several installs from scratch over the years and and I knew that any sound system would only be as good as it's weakest link. Meaning I've learned that you need to replace the head unit, amp and speakers, minimum, for quality sound. So I bought all three items from TGP. When you look at the included beautiful wiring harnesses, speaker adapters, mounting plates and prompt product support it was a no brainer to spend a small amount more and buy kits from here that are all plug-n-play. This iLX-F511 head unit is fantastic, I couldn't be happier. It looks great in my 2018 Tundra and to get truly fantastic sound you will need to set the HU crossover and and slopes properly, for me; low pass (LPF) the sub at 80Hz with 24dB slope, high pass the front and rear doors at 80Hz and 24dB slopes. Make sure any crossovers on your amps are turned off or turned up or down out of the way so the HU does the crossover-ing. Set your EQ-ing by selecting one of the basic EQ presets like Rock or Jazz then adjust the individual 13 bands on the Advanced EQ screen from there, if even needed. Leave the "MX" Media Xpander off for good tight sound, maybe use it only at low volumes like a loudness control. There are just enough digital signal processor adjustments (DSP) in this HU to not need an added DSP in my opinion. Sitting in my driveway and streaming hi-rez music from my WiFi this system truly sounds killer! I normally listen to SiriusXM and it sounds almost as good. I was not expecting it all to sound this good; the Alpine iLX-F511 HU, Alpine 8 speaker kit and the 4-channel amp kit with powered sub. The powered sub works surprisingly pretty damn good too. It took a good bit of tuning time to coax great sounding music out of it all. Great sounding stereo system for the money...
I love my Alpine radio. Easy installation just minor issues with radio mounts on backwards. I would have given 5 stars due to hand controls not sinking with my pre sets volume works just fine. I can't figure out. Overall satisfied with my Alpine.
I purchased the alpine iLx head unit a couple of months back. Now I just received the alpine 8 speaker setup. What a difference from stock. Sound is fantastic. Many thanks to you guys at Trail Grid. Made it very easy to install.
When I bought my new 2024 4Runner SR5 Premium, I was a bit disappointed by the factory stereo, but I kept lying to myself for a full year that it was “OK. ” Well, it’s not. I had been looking for a way to keep the factory head unit for looks and overall integrated functionality. I finally decided to pull the trigger on the Trail Grid Pro “Alpine Plug & Play 8-Speaker, 4-Channel Amp & Powered Subwoofer Bundle. ” The order process on line was clear and easy. TGP told me there would be two-week lead time, but that is reasonable considering all the custom connections required in this system. When the kit arrived, I was very impressed at how well each item was labeled and how well the custom wiring harnesses were assembled. I watched the excellent TGP installation videos a few times, and then it was time to get started. Every step of the way was perfectly documented in the videos, leaving no surprises during my installation. The only issue I had was getting the rear door panels back on (Toyota thing, not TGP thing). The installation also required no cutting or splicing. Everything arrived with unique pre-terminated connectors that plug directly into the factory radio and the new Alpine amplifiers. You can’t really screw it up (believe me, I tried). Upon firing up my new TGP system; I was impressed with the obvious improvement in speaker clarity and imagery. The sub kicks hard, to the point where I don’t run it at 100% most of the time (adjustable with a knob that I mounted inside the center console). I have ordered “custom” wired stereo systems for other vehicles in the past. However, nobody else comes close to the quality that Trail Grid Pro provides! I am also impressed with their pre-sale phone support as well as tech support when I had some questions. Bottom line: This was not a “cheap” addition to my 4Runner, but I can already tell it is worth it. I highly recommend Trail Grid Pro if you want to upgrade your sound system!
Cannot say enough about the service at Trailgrid Pro. I recently upgraded the stock stereo in my 2012 Tacoma using their the Sony XAV-AX6000 Plug & Play Bundle. When the kit arrived the wiring was intimidating to look at but everything needed was there and it worked perfectly including steering wheel controls, microphone, AM/FM, Carplay, GPS, vehicle info. The trim looks like it was custom made for the truck. All of the service staff were great answering my questions, looking at photos to clarify the install and giving advice wiring my camera upgrade. The only change I'd recommend is the plastic mounting brackets were a little flimsy; I reused the stock brackets and it is rock solid. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended I’ve dealt with many companies, but TrailGrid Pro truly stands out. Their customer service isn’t just responsive – they actually answer the phone, return calls, and follow through on every promise. When they say they’ll send you an email, they do it, and fast. What really impressed me was how they went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of, even when the issue wasn’t their responsibility. I had a problem with an aftermarket speaker system (not even something they sold), and they still took the time to fix it. The level of dedication and care from every team member at TrailGrid Pro is top-shelf, and I can’t speak highly enough of them. They make sure you’re not just another customer, but a priority. If you want a company that genuinely has your back, look no further.
I've installed many aftermarket radios, none were ever as easy as this one. I bought the Alpine 507 and had it installed in less than hour. Trail Grid Pro did all the hard work, all I had to do was plug it in. The installation video was great, and made the install flawless.
I highly recommend trail grid pro!! Installed the alpine F509 in my 2012 4 runner limited. Very easy installation and everything worked without any issues. Easiest install ever! Install video is spot on !!! My unit came with the alpine DVR-C320r dash cam kit. Works great! I had been considering their Sony upgrade for a while. I’m so glad they started offering the alpine for my 2012. 5 stars on product , prewiring by trailgridpro and install directions!! Great job TGP team!!
Ordered the Alpine 511 head unit for my 2022 tacoma and love it! Had a few hiccups in the beginning with the back up camera not popping up but Mike from the support team gave me a few suggestions but eventually had to send another head unit to get the camera working. With a few twist of the cables, the camera finally worked so just be patient if you order this for your tacoma or any other vehicle. During the week I had great support from the team and if anything there was a day delay in responses but overall great experience and glad I was able to get everything working finally!
These 2 young men put out a video for the installation step by step. Follow the video, you’ll will have NO problems. Thank you guy’s. I took some photos of the camera on my 2017 Tundra, I just couldn’t find the location to post them.
The install was the easiest car stereo install that I have done. I followed the videos for both the radio and the mic. The total time to do the install was about two hours. That Included gathering my tools, laying out my work area, and doing the actual install.
Bought both of these bundles to upgrade the stereo system in my 21 Tacoma and WOW what a HUGE difference they make in improving the sound quality in my Tacoma. Had a good friend help me with the install and called Trail Grid Pro during the installation; and between their good install videos and their kind help over the phone we got er done! My new Sony touch screen looks Uber sharp and is easy to navigate. Wireless Android Auto works flawlessly and XM Radio subscription transferred quickly with one brief phone call to give them my new radio ID number. The only snag I ran into was with my front anytime camera not working post install, but I'm confident with TGP's awesome customer service I'll get that resolved quickly. Thank you TGP for putting together and amazing sound system and musical experience for my Tacoma! My only regret is that I didn't pull the trigger on this sooner.
Installed the Alpine 9” bundle this morning. So glad to have Alpine back in my 4Runner. It really is a plug and play kit. They have an adapter for the factory GPS antenna so you only have to run the mic cable. The sound is fantastic and the new model has some great features. 360 camera worked without issue. The customer service is top notch as well. Can not recommend enough.
Bought the ALPINE ILX-F509 PLUG & PLAY BUNDLE and it was the easiest install I’ve ever had. I had it up and running within 40 minutes including running mic and gps. Great look and better sound than my factory head unit. Thanks again guys.
I purchased the Sony XAV -AX8100 bundle for my 2017 Tundra. I had issues with the unit and Mike in support kept answering my questions and issues. I still was unable to get it going. But after a few trouble shooting thoughts it still would not work. So, it was decided to get a replacement. They were quick to send one out. I installed the unit as I needed to and everything worked. And I love it. So simple to install. Will do business with them in the future.
This review is on my experiences with Trail Grid Pro as well as the Anytime Backup Camera. I received an Anytime Backup Camera for Christmas and had issues installing it (all self-inflected). I drove down Trail Grid Pro in Maryland and Casey did a superb job installing the system into my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. Took him about an hour. Very professional job and Casey was great. Very appreciative of Cliff, Brian and Casey for taking care of my installation problems, even if they were my fault. They really took care of me and I am sure the take care of all of their customers. I highly recommend Trail Grid Pro as well as the Anytime Backup Camera. Such a camera should be standard on the Tacoma, especially the TRD versions as it is impossible to see over the end of the hood, making parking difficult. It is also easy to see behind you even when driving with the push of a button. Great if towing.
Haven’t had this installed long but it was super simple and works like a charm. I had a few issues pairing it with my phone to view videos but Michael patiently listened to my questions and got me the information I needed in a jiffy. Stellar customer service, and a great product. May have to take a look to see what else I need (want) at Trail Grid Pro for my third gen Tacoma. J. J.
