Good people at Topdrawer, I have been buying your Bristol Journal (grid) for several years Much about the items pleases me--size, the grid or squared pages being available, several (not all) of the colors, the sturdiness of the journals, the pages being sewn in. I'm not sure what's happened to the paper quality lately. I use a fountain pen and have been happy with the paper before, but the paper in my most recent order of the Bristol journal doesn't take the fountain pen ink well. The issue is not bleed through but a seeming resistance to pen nib and ink. I haven't changed those two elements. So, I think it's the paper. ??? Anyway, the writing experience is less than satisfying. It's hard to locate a good journal with good paper. But thank you for your attention, interest and otherwise good products, price and delivery.

The selections are not as great as in the past. The colors are too dark and not enough mid range colors.
