The hammer and trigger parts that I ordered for a perfect fit did not have to make any adjustments at all put the screws and tighten them up done would do business with this company again

This is a very fine revolver that handles like something you’d expect to cost more. I’ve put various loads through it, from wadcutters to magnums, and the action and feel are consistently excellent. Getting the tuned option was reassuring since this was my first reproduction chambered for a relatively high-pressure cartridge, and the experience with it has been flawless. I like the structural attributes of a Bisley, and this barrel length and overall weight make for great balance. Bravo. (As always, friendly and efficient sales service. )

The Pietta model of the 1851 Colt Navy Revolver is ok at best. Uberti replicas have their drawbacks too but I digress. It seems to me based on personal experience and online research that the Pietta color case hardened hammers on the '51 Colts made in the last 6 years or so have improper or all together no hardening and because of that the hammer cam that the back of the bolt rides on wares down after less than 100 rounds. The black Pietta hammer for 1851 '60 and '61's I got works great, it has no excessive wear. It did need to be de burred and filed but that's the case with any colt reproduction. With all that said, I don't know how these color case hardened hammers that are sold separately will perform. One would hope that they perform satisfactorily but they are bit pricey for me to take the chance.
