This nail-file’s texture is excellent for shaping and polishing my nails for guitar finger picking. It works much better than a standard diamond grit 2 sided nail file that has coarse and fine on opposite sides. This glass file doesn’t need 2 grits because you control the aggressiveness of it by the amount of pressure you apply, and it does the coarse and fine job better. It is also better at making the nail tip break angles, rounding edges, finishing the nail-tip underside, and leveling gel overcoat of silk-tip laminates. If you’re a fingerpicker and you’re not using silk-tips with gel, then you’re really missing out, I perform maintenance at a steel mill which I tend to beat my hands up, and the silk tips allow me to keep excellent fingerpicking nails. This file makes the installation process a breeze.
