I'm a 5. 0+ player and have my own court. Sometimes I receive noise complaints and would not want to disturb neighbors, so I bought this to hopefully reduce the number of complaints we receive from the neighboring units. The gameplay hasn't changed a whole lot for me, except that it's quieter. I bought the control series and was able to make the shots as usual. Highly recommended for strict neighborhoods and communities.

Paddle was heavier than I expected that gave me tennis elbow. The paddle handle/ shaft is smaller than I expected, which doesn't provide proper grip.

The paddles are great. They were sent quickly. Only problem is the packing. We don’t need it & hate to think of it being put into garbage.

Great paddle for the price paid. It provides great power and control. Had to add weights to make it heavier in the 3/9 position. Wish the handle was longer for 2 handed backhand players. Great buy for a “less noise” paddle.

This paddle has great potential with powerful topspin drives when hit correctly. The paddle has a well defined sweet spot, but the drawbacks are significant. The edges and neck of the paddle face are dead zones. Other paddles certainly have this issue, but not nearly to this degree. If you miss hit a shot outside the sweet spot, the ball isn’t going back over the net.

I rarely see Owl paddles at Southern California courts, but I hope they keep developing the Silent Storm—it deserves way more attention. Highly recommend for players who want control, spin, and quiet power without breaking the bank!
