Great paddle with crazy amount of spin

Not a bad bag, but certainly not premium quality as noted by fabric quality, zipper closures and overall design of compartments.

I purchased the CXE 2 from my local retailer, Pickleball Depot. As far as I understand, it is the same paddle as the CXE shown on the OWL website, with an updated color scheme. I’m extremely happy with it. Although I appreciate how quiet it is, the standout feature for me is the feel. Coming from a tennis background, I had been missing that sense of connection with the ball when playing pickleball. With the OWL, it feels as though the ball stays on the paddle’s felt-like surface for just a fraction longer, giving me a fuller, more controlled sensation at contact. I feel the ball better and can place and shape my shots more confidently. The spin is also exceptional. The surface makes it noticeably easier to generate both topspin and backspin, bringing back some of the shot-making sensations I enjoy so much in tennis. No other pickleball paddle I have tried has given me quite the same experience. I encountered only two minor issues, both of which were easy to solve. The first was purely aesthetic—and admittedly something I probably notice more because I’m a designer. I love the dark surface and its contrast with the orange details, but I found the large orange lettering on the back a little too prominent for the otherwise minimalist design. I toned down parts of it with a black permanent marker, creating a subtle black-on-black effect that, to my eye, looks much more elegant and aggressive. The second issue was practical. Because the felt-like material continues around the edges, adhesive weight strips would not stay securely attached. I added generic paddle edge tape, which adhered perfectly, gave me a solid surface for the weight strips, and also added a nice finishing touch to the paddle. Overall, I couldn’t be happier. The quiet sound is a welcome bonus, but for me, the real reason to buy this paddle is its unique feel, control, and outstanding spin.

Went from boomstick to this and I truly love it didn’t lose any power just added better spin and shot shape. Cant lie bought it as a gimmick and turned into my main and I’m seeing more and more show up at the courts since I got mine so it must be good!

My exprience on customer service were outstanding. Packaging with super bubble wrap is stunningly great.

CXE is my fav paddle and Silent Storm is a good second choice. Find it to be more durable though long handle would be nice. I like CXE for control and balance. I can’t play with any other brands anymore.

A first discovered this paddle from a friend after borrowing it during play. I went straight home and ordered my own after that. It’s really easy to get used to and has great control. Right now it’s my favorite paddle.

Played with Owl CXE for 5 years. My new Talon X1 is just as quiet. I can spin a lob 45 degrees after the bounce on a track floor we play on. Playing partners laugh when a 4.0 misses a serve , looks at their paddle and checks the floor for debris . Arching the ball left and right is a great tool to have. I love my new Talon X1. Shipped in Canada, no duty , 3 day delivery . Great job OWL

Owl changed my game in one session. It feels fast at the net, stable on defense, and powerful enough to finish points without losing control.
